He raises valid points and I agree with his pros and cons, I just don't think people wanting to screw the vampires should hurt the score enough to warrant a 5/10.

Normal roguelites only last a short while before it resets. Returnal expects you to play nonstop for 3 hours at a time. Its especially annoying because thats how much free time total alot of people have.

This strategy is part of larger strategy to get people to be more accepting with signing up for subscriptions in the future. Game pass is early right now. But you'll see Sony try to pull the same stunt and then both remove options when the following gen starts or something along those lines.

This is just damage control. Like how they and Ubisoft defended shortcut DLC as "giving players options." What they say is true, but that is not the reason they do it. That is just a minor thing they can wave around when ever someone criticizes them.

One of the problems with Valve's system where everyone is their own leader, is that the person who approves titles flip flops depending on who is in charge of it. You don't want the guy from Campo Santo who cries on twitter all day, abused his admin powers to ban people in dota 2, and goes against everything even slightly suggestive to be in charge of that department. Otherwise, nothing will get approved.

"Good Journalism"

Unironically yes. Not even worth calling it a space rpg.

That's fine if that's the main draw, but it doesn't make it a better experience, just a preference. Having the freedom to do the things you can do on PC is what the appeal of PC is. Buying a game on PC means you never have to worry about the console makers just deciding the next hardware shouldn't support the generation anymore, which means everything you bought is stuck on that hardware instead of moving up with everything else. Nintendo uses this tactic to keep reselling the...

I still remember years ago, Peter Moore could only cite DA origins as their best game even though it was released a few months after the buyout of bioware, so EA had no time to mettle with development like they did with everything after.

@raidernation
You are missing the point. It's less to do with Jim Ryan and more on, if companies see people are pissed at their recent decisions, they see that people aren't ok with how they are operating currently. It doesn't mean Jim gets moved or that execs get kicked. It just means that business plans get adjusted in the future if enough negative feedback goes through. Execs absolutely go out of their way to stop outrage. That's why they started censoring titles a...

A bunch of people don't like it because it breaks their "community" of same opinions. Just realize, no disagreements, No progress. That's why this blog post exists and you see plenty of people trying to dismiss it.

Just play it out like he starts in WW1 as a german soldier and it goes through his life and his eventual suicide. Would be interesting but of course its too offensive to depict by societys standards. But remember the most Taboo games are the most memorable, like how people still talk about the No Russian mission in MW2.

@crazycoconuts

It's crazy how twisted that statement is when PR falls back to fallacy statements. You can say anything, and then when people repeat it back later suddenly it's exactly what he wanted people to think without ever needing to lie about it.

They probably think that people will just start sticking to the service when they've given 0 incentive for anyone to do so. Free games and timed exclusivity and people still avoid them like the plague. If you read the suit, the way Epic speaks and talks they talk as if they expected Apple to just bend over when the lawsuit happened. They also expected a bunch of children to root for them online but nobody cared. This pompous out of touch ego is whats going to kill their s...

If you read the suit theres way more to it then just this. Not only did they lose hundreds of millions they got taunted by Apple for the fact they're never profitable, provide inferior service for developers, have a much smaller customer base, provide inferior service to customers, and they've been victim to 2 security breaches they've never disclosed. This is on top of the fact they told console makers about the price change months before the suit, but stealth launched it on Mobi...

I really don't care if my opinion is disagreed. That's just the state of the site. It's just this site clearly leans to putting Sony on a pedestal, so it scares off everyone else if nobody is allowed to say anything that isn't completely pro Sony. Naturally, when people constantly see their slightly negative comment about Sony getting blasted with disagrees and dismissal attitude, why would they come back if they feel like they are not wanted? Trolling is one thing and shouldn...

They didn't market it anywhere near as you are describing, they released it silently, nobody knew it even released and now nobody ever speaks of it. The last time I saw anything on the game on this site was just around launch when they talked about a PC release.

Nice dismissal rebuttal. You have no response and just felt the need to shut down dissent. You have no input aside from painting everything as whining but you are perfectly fine with mindless praise which harms more. Next time you start talking about commenting correctly, try actually commenting instead of dismissing like a fanboy with an agenda.

That controversy is not why the story failed, the story was failed because of "Anonymous sources" by users of this site. Regardless if you agree or not, the point is, he actually does have actual insiders he speaks to before writing these things. You can hate it but dismissing it based on false claims because you don't like the controversy it brings, makes you no better then the people banning everything in society right now.

1791d ago 2 agree11 disagreeView comment

I mean that's true as well and they get all get called out for it as well. It's an industry problem that's affecting the high end products from the major players who reduce risks to the max. The problem is Sony is making cinematic games where the action is in the cutscene instead of making games with a cinematic feeling. You could do so much more with that design like making a cop buddy game that's inspired by the movies, an RPG that's inspired by space opera, or a game ab...

I like how the article this one is talking about, by a guy who actually has insider sources and a proven track record of tracking down actual information, was just failed based on absolute nonsense like Anonymous sources and the content being fake or clickbait. The fanboying of Sony on this site impresses me and it's no wonder I keep seeing dissent dismissed and fanboys of other consoles silenced. You can't have an opinion, you either have to reinforce everyone elses opinion or not co...
