@migh
Microsoft pulled that stunt with Rise of the tomb raider. They can do it because it's outside of the contract range.
@EDmix
Every single trailer for this game hints at or directly shows features that aren't in the final product.
The original E3 unveil shows a giant rhino stampeding through a forest, causing the deer to herd together and run off. This suggests interaction between animals, making the planets and animals dramatically more interesting. There is no such interaction in the actual product, and nothing as dramatic and exciting on the planetary level as that...

noun
noun: exploration; plural noun: explorations
the action of traveling in or through an unfamiliar area in order to learn about it.
And what are you learning about the planet in NMS? Where the next Iron resource is?
Hey you had to explore the cockpit for the damn controls in simulation mode.
I have would have traded 19 quintillion generated planets for 19 handmade planets with actual lore to discover. The people that argue that this is an exploration game have some weird criteria for what constitutes as exploration. Last I checked when you explore something you're finding small structures, writing on the wall, and other items of interest to try to read the story of what happened there long ago, not this "OOOooh look at the pretty scenery with the mad libs animal swaps&qu...
Yeah because with a couple dozen biomes and some color changes something's bound to be new.
Hey you can reduce the game to every step you take and it won't change anything about its core play being predictable and monotonus. Half the things you listed add nothing to the base game and are just there as minor one off experiences. If I did the same thing you did with any game in its genre I could easily hit the character limit. Even with your extreme padding of what you consider content its still nowhere near that.
@Goldby
Yeah let's all support the team that misled everyone about its core features. Why is anyone obligated to show loyalty to a group of strangers, who are just out to sell you something? Loyalty is for people who pay YOU not the other way around.
Why do you guys look at reviews if you already made up your mind about it? What do you gain out of telling people which reviews to listen to if your just gonna point them to the one that gives it a favorable and biased score?
@Kenshin
Yeah, but general interest in it is doomed.
I can't believe people are still arguing with server issues despite multiple tests done and the simple irrefutable fact that the game does not send packet data out so it is virtually impossible for 2 players to play together. It's like if someone was playing a Skyrim and told another to come meet them in the riften square, that's "multiplayer" to some people.
Watching the defense force is really depressing.
"It's amazing to think that, despite the astronomically low odds, some day, two people might have a fateful meeting with each other"
"Hey guys, Sean just tweeted that this isn't a multiplayer game"
"No, he meant it is a multiplayer game, just the odds are so low that it's like it's not one, even though it is"
"Hey guys, it's day 1, this guy and ...
@EDkick
That is a lie. 3 times those same players tried meeting each other and not once did anything change. They even met on a space station to no avail. Link proof and quit sending people on a goose chase.
So the server issues put a sticker on the back of the case blocking out the online play features?
Never in any of the tweets did he blame server load, in fact he later admitted that the servers were running fine. All he did was restate that you're in a shared universe which most likely is just referring to the naming of planets and such. The 2 players meeting actually did happen live on stream and before these tweets Sean even mentioned about it, but he talked about them not seeing each other or bothered to explain anything beyond that. If this is some hardcore mental gymnastics to tr...
I like how they ignore everything about the support characters like personality, history, accomplishments, etc. and just scrutinize them just because they are labeled under the role their play-style fits correctly.
The CoD mechanics that seeped their way into most games developed over the next few years is what ticked me off about it. We had things like Prestiging, loadouts, perks, etc. in games like Red dead redemption, Halo: Reach and 4, and even Assassins creeds multiplayer emulated most of the progression systems like CoD. The biggest hurdle was the whole "barely do anything and get medals for it" crap like with Halo 4's "Distraction" Medal, or just getting points for suppres...
It was a literal joke as stated by the dev released in JP only but they brought in over to the U.S. for the same reason.
I want Asuka dammit
Terraria is 38 mb yet costs some upwards of $20 on console. Price and size of game don't correlate to one another.
