Yeah lets count updates for an early access title and not only count the patches for a game thats been out since May 2015 but also combine all platforms into one number, because that's totally not some asinine levels of mental gymnastics and Stockholm syndrome.

Activision is the bought out Sierra just shut them down not long after acquiring them, and they were responsible for killing off Troika (Vampire the masquerade devs) after releasing the game the same day as Half life 2 and refusing a few extra months of bug fixes. They also merged and defunct Neversoft, into infinity ward, shut down radical entertainment because prototype 2 sold poorly when it was released the same time as max Payne 3, and killed off red octane. T...

Yeah because when every demo you show is a heavily supervised press only demo that alone is a red flag. Not to mention the midnight release review embargo.

All this does is encourage people to stop parroting insults and get more creative. There's nothing toxic about telling another team they suck. Bantz are in every major sport. Yet everyone wants video games on ESPN and they can't handle the level and attitude of basic sports.

The expansions released on PC and the items locked behind a paywall on a service are 2 different things. In one case expansions back then had to be bought at retail and installed from a disc rather then just downloaded off the internet. The expansions were large scale additions that would add in whole new mechanics and redesign areas in some cases. With DLC your just paying for the right to use 1 item for the base game rather then getting a whole new experience. The...

I'm not criticizing you playing the game. I'm criticizing you on saying its ok for Sean to over promise and under deliver. Your giving postive feedback on a product that laundered itself on marketing only and got away with doing exactly what the free market is supposed to fight against. Most people bought No mans sky under the idea of all these things that had been shown off touted in various trailers and interviews. To ignore all these falsities and give a...

You have post purchase rationalization like many others who can't just admit a bad buy and instead enable the people who spit on your purchase to continue doing so. While you personally enjoy it, ignoring all the lies is just allowing other people like Sean to continue running in the market and making bank from overpromising and lying with no correction until after release. The free market should police itself better to avoid products like this, but unfortunately it can't with people ...

You're out of your mind if you think multiplayer is as simple as adding a patch. The only thing they can do is make NMS 2 and create it then. If you've ever worked in game development (which most haven't on here) you'd know that something as massive as multiplayer would require rewriting the entire game from scratch in order to create. That means time and resources would have to satisfy the outcome which at this point is impossible with the botched publ...

There was never any bug or server issues like people sweep under constantly. The game doesn't send out packet data for player location at all, there is no multiplayer of any form. It is a simple text data that gets shared between players connected to the server. That is all.

Don't forget the AI never being as dynamic as showcased in the trailers, like with the Rhino charging through smaller mammals and having them group up and run.

Sure you could argue the first Battlefield was smaller in scope but that could have been because of budget at the time for what its worth considering it's the very first release back in 2002. What about the other games on the market like the massive price increase on CoDs map packs? What about the expansion released for Battlefield 2142 that was later made free that introduced new maps, modes, vehicles, and weapons? The whole argument that paid content is bet...

Your comparison is childish and doesn't even make sense. "We" at one point just a few years ago had the exact same content released for the games of today released for free through updates, but after market climates and development costs skyrocketing with no substantial upfront price difference now everything that was once given out for free is now behind $40-$50 paywalls. I remember when MW2 released the first Stimulus map pack price at an outrageous $15 price tag. Since then ...

They are bad most of the time because they are too simplistic and follow beginner game design formulas. I'd never think I would despise retro graphics until I played a few indie games. They feel like a coverup because the artist is bad. The other problem people have is when you look on the ps3's lineup for plus you see things like Yakuza 5 and on ps4 you get a crummy repetitive tower puzzle game and some unity garbage. Why they haven't put second son, lbp3, or killzone sf I'll...

The fact that we've had 1 Japanese game on PS4+ since launch of the console speaks for itself. Even that game was questionable. In opposition we've had 5 Japanese games on the PS3+ lineup since the beginning of this year alone. This is a console that is known for its Japanese library yet it never bothers to attract players to them.

It's a fallacy argument known as Ignoratio elenchi or otherwise known as an irrelevant conclusion, which is presenting an argument that may or may not be valid, but regardless fails to address the issue in question.

If you want a simple explanation very often, when we listen to another person's argument, we are not really listening; we are thinking about what we want to say, which may be unrelated to his argument, or about what his argu...

They're not wrong but they aren't right either. The most difficult thing that anyone can do as fan is learn to move on. Most of the MG fan base was only on for the ride since kojima was in charge and all that's left now is probably the only IP konami can sell to the masses. If you have any respect for yourself or as a fan of metal gear, you need to know when to let it rest.

3526d ago 0 agree1 disagreeView comment

They're only doing this because they can simultaneously reuse assets, cutting costs, plus it attaches the Metal gear name to it so it takes advantage of the fact that fans of metal gear will buy anything with the name attached. Kojima not directing this had nothing to do with the backlash. See even when things go to an all time low and the whole community is against its own franchise, theres still people who will praise this kind of crap and buy despite the fact that it sucks and it enabl...

But theres nothing beyond that. You're just trying to look at what parts got swapped out this time and the charm is gone once you realize there's nothing beyond that. You're stuck with the same set of combinations swapped out on different planets, which are either full of animal life, deserted, or uncultured. Where are the towns and civilizations or signs of ruins? Everything is an outpost or space station which neither of change between the 2.

Are you shilling? The only game you listed that actually adds actual content is PvZ but its still got microtransactions locked to it. You're also missing the point with Battlefronts "free" content, offline mode should've been there from the get go and the star cards/weapons harm this game greatly instead of helping it. Season passes became a norm because we had tools like you ready to jump in front of the tanks.
