they've already been there with ps1 and ps2 that totally DESTROYED the competition in the sales department the ps3 on the other hand isn't dominating its competitors in sales. the ps3 is a flop compared to the greatness and total domination of ps2 and ps1

probably digital foundries said the e3 demo implemented some form of anti-aliasing and I heard fxaa was pretty fast on 360 .343 studios is using it in halo 4 don't know about the Halo ce remake though). dice is also using FXAA for the 360 version of battlefield 3. FXAA was implemented in star wars force unleashed 2 I think.

I was joking. sony'll probably use a power7 for ps4. its capable of emulating the ps3 cell and is much easier to code for. the ps4 will have a multicore cpu with a beastly gpu so game will have an easy time tapping the machines power. that's the approach sony took with ps vita by the way
