For me, there are two kinds of thoughts towards Mirrors Edge...
The casual gamers who say "Ooooh! This game is really pretty and like you play as a chick and like don't use guns and like just run and its so beautiful, I love it."
and then you have the real gamers who see dogshit when its presented to them. "Yeah I played the demo, graphics are nice, but the controls are clunky, AI is poopy, animation is horrible, story is original yet tarded, all smush...
The game's government is based around Totalitarianism... which is quite different... especially in Mirror's Edge, because the city is remarkably clean looking, with moral among their citizens also very positive. So essential you are playing a terrorist, or some chick caught up with a terror organization bent on bringing down the government.
Other than the clean looking graphics, I have nothing else good to say about this game.

Well kids, it's nice to see an upstanding citizen like Barrak win the presidency, this little Coke vs Pepsi debacle is finally over, so now we just need to watch and wait.
Kinda saddens me though, considering how ridiculously screwed up our senate is now. With a vast majority of the house Democratic, we'll be seeing big change in what kind of laws are passed.
An example of some affect gamers like us most. Most laws and regulations trying to censor video games are sen...
It's mind boggling how much stuff the PS3 is capable of doing. There are big things Sony got right, and tons of little things. But like all things in this world, it falls short of being perfect. A few things I think would definitely be useful for the PS3 are as followed... most are just nit picking, but all are very much welcomed.
1. An official "Hardcore" PS3 bundle would be nice for potential buyers. This would include the official headset and a game like R2 or KZ2. ...
I had high hopes for Mirrors Edge, it was definitely a game I wanted to see and play for myself. I got my chance last week and sadly, I do not see myself renting it, let alone buying it...
I don't like playing a karate parkour chick with tank controls and a character mindset that thinks a beautifully clean and safe city is evil.... (takes breath) So she feels the need to deal with them by stealing their important documents and smacking helplessly dumb security guards around who a...
Everyone will see demos/betas as just a sneak peak of a game they've been wanting or at least interested in trying. As some of us play them, in the back of our minds we know this isn't the final version, but at the same time we are judging the game whole heartily. (Most importantly we need to remember a "Beta" is technically NOT a demonstration of a game. If your let into a beta, its your job to find problems or issues with the game and report them.)
For me, video game ...
And/Or Kakow.
I rented the PS3 version, and played a good portion of the game. (my save said 10%).
I go to play the game again the next day and it freezes when I try to load my game... only option now is to start a new game...
Nice try Ubisoft, another next gen flub like this and I'll be forced to completely avoid your games all together. :/
I've expressed my opinion enough about this game.
"I'm holding them for a friend! I swear!"
Since when is it a crime to shorten "Japanese" in order to rhyme it with a word that best describes their overall quality in entertainment.
You guys can argue all you want, I own a PS3, Qore, and I'v played a slew of different strategy games. I downloaded the demo for this game and immediately deleted it. Innovative? Maybe... Fun? Ha! If your friggin' 10 years old.
I have to agree, the demo was a joke.
Sounds like this fool needs to adjust his PS3s display settings. There's an option for SD dispaly, cross color reduction filter. Turning that setting on or off might fix this issue.
So is this Hip Hop gamer an expert on video games or something?
I got the beta. It blows chunks.
Sad Boosh :(
