Ted Price and the rest of the team over at Insomniac are top notch respected developers. That said, I just can't seem to like Resistance 2. My suggestion to the blogger that posted this is simple. Do not buy the game. Leave your copy for the rest of us that would like a compelling view on the Japan side of the second World War that is also bundled with one of the most fun multiplayer engines of this generation.

I fell in love with Motorstorm's target video, I knew it wasn't a working build of the game. Each crash was well scripted and the the overall video didn't look like a video game. I figured though, if a developer is shooting for anything remotely close to that video, they deserve the hype. Same goes for Killzone 2, which has undoubtedly surpassed it's target render.

Kids are saying R2's co-op is where its at. I rented the game, so I've been trying to get SP beat. Is it just me, or is R2's AI ridiculously stupid? The enemies will be shooting at you one second, then turn around for some reason. Other times they will just bum rush you passing by your AI squadmates... which leads to my biggest issue, the friendly AI is some of the worst I have ever seen.
I'm not trying to nitpick or anything, I just think R2's negatives outweigh the positives al...
What is so great about Resistance 2? I've been going through the campaign, so far and there hasn't been a single hint of "Wow" factor. The levels are drab and empty. The graphics look great when your staring at a bunch of floating stuff, but as soon as you look away, your greeted with some really ugly texture work with no shading whatsoever. Easy, Normal and Hard will always be in video games though, it lets first time players of video games to adjust the game to their skill level. Most of the time its just a bullet damage tweak, so those who have played shooters before and want a challenge can enjoy testing their skills with deaths being dealt by a pistol shot to their hip.
Some games on the otherhand are intentionally hard for the sake of nostalgia or becomi...
