Its normal for me to jump my car off the roof of parking garages... then when I'm on the street, I go about 90mph on the wrong side of the road. When I get into populated areas, I can't help but drive on the sidewalk, hearing innocence squish beneath my tires is utterly satisfying... -_-

Spike and G4 are a joke now, their programming lineup is for stupid people, plain and simple. Two prime examples why I don't watch TV anymore, downloading full seasons and visiting free video sites like AdultSwim.com is much more convenient. Commercials are almost alien to me.

Some friends came over and were going through my games collection looking for something to play... They saw that game and made fun of me for buying such a queerific looking game.

Silogon is right, I just watched some gameplay videos of Breakdown, that game looks hilariously fun. If I had an Xbox or 360, I would rent that in a heartbeat instead of Mirrors Edge.
World War II or not, COD has way more replay value than Mirror's Edge. Multiple multiplayer modes present any player, hardcore or casual, a robust online and offline happy-fun-time shooting game. Mirrors Edge is like those abstract paintings in museums, they look like garbage to average viewers, but there are always those snooty people who think its worth more than the canvas it's painted on.

Value outweighs Innovation
With Mirrors Edge, it probably would have been smarter to release it later into the beginning of next year. This would have allowed more time to add in some multiplayer game modes, and a few other value boosters that would have justified 60 bucks.
