It's unjust.
I'm proud to say one of my favorite MP games back in the day was FEAR. On the PC this was THE game to play. Balanced learning curve, great maps, awesome weapons, and bare knuckle brawling. Until mods came out, FEAR was capped at 16 players, with 8 vs 8.
This however, was just over 4 years ago...
Times have changed, and I remember one of my favorite parts of COD4 was the modded servers with 50+ players. These were hectic and extended the life of the game substantially...
I'll be getting MW2, AC2, and L4d2, but...
I'll only be buying AC2 and L4D2...
IW and Activision can suck it.
IF you keep doing things like this, GT5 will drop into a negative day one purchase for me.
A little over a year after L4D was announced, TRS was bought by Valve. Less than a year later it was released.
Thats just enough time for a full fledged mod to get some voice overs, music, and an ad campaign.
Valve's idea? Of course not.
Valve's game? Of course not.
Valve's revenue? Indeed YES.
But it doesn't excuse them for acting so daft about PS3 and Mac development.
Wow, that interview was an eye opener. Here's what I learned...
Valve thought up most of L4D and L4D2... not Turtle Rock (rolls eyes)
All of these ideas for L4D2 were brought up during L4D1 development, again bringing up the whole "Y nO DLC 4 pC! ;_; " arguement...
Developing for architecture OTHER than the PC/360 is all about supply and demand, and while Valve knows MAC and PS3 users request games, Gabe and his crew don't see any profit from t...
Looks good, seeing as how they dropped Source and went with their own proprietary engine.
I'm totally getting a FPS vibe from this game. I hope it is!
I find the trophy and rank system alot more enjoyable. The only problem now, is its incorporation with the system itself. It's incredibly sluggish to check and compare scores with friends. Its not a priority in the system, this is apparent.
As for the controller, its pure preference I guess. You'll find getting used to the dualshock is pretty painless and quick.
Using both on a regular basis, I can say these things with confidence.
PS3s face buttons are ...
Should have read your comment before posting my list below. haha
One can dream though right? ... I guess there's always PS4...
Major changes
-Sony chose well with XDR ram from Rambus, they should have incorporated more though! An updated model with more RAM would be an easy fix, and promise more.
-A dedicated video display/upscaling chip. The 360 has one, and if I'm correct, incorporating such a chip would be an easy update, allowing all games to "output" in 1080p.
Minor changes
-I personally do not like Slim's design in general. It comes off as generally unappealing. ...
Not a bad idea. Older releases wouldn't see a change. But newer games would render at higher resolutions.
That would of course be impossibly hard at this point. Considering most new GPU iterations comes with different architecture altogether.
Better off just asking for more XDR or even a dedicated upscale chip like the 360 has.
"Yes it is. The scene establishes the depth of evil and the cold bloodedness of a rogue Russian villain and his unit. By establishing that evil, it adds to the urgency of the player’s mission to stop them."
Right I read it, and I copied the lines to prove a point. Why play as the terrorist? Is it urging enough just seeing the events unfold? Having the player engage in both roles will just make Average Joe confused.
See my above comment
Its the context of it all.
Theres a difference between willfully running around Liberty City, having the choice of killing whomever, wherever.
Against having a whole scene in your game focused on a terrorist attack in an airport with the player "playing" the lead role.
Skippable or not, its going to upset people, they know this. Their game is going to fly off the shelves, and their pulling **** like this anyway. Why? Are they trying to prove a point against the War on Terror? Are they trying to forcefully express their view on terrorist existence and execution? For ****s sake, their pushing buttons for a reason, and whatever reason it may be, they better have one hell of an excuse.
PS. My guess is their looking for more hits.

I love co-op survival and gold rush. Problem is I'm paired with dummies about 4 out of 5 times.
Instead of quitting, at the start of the next few rounds, I'll drop a grenade and kill us all.
Sounds fowl, but when high level players are deciding not to revive me, or help deliver the treasure, I'd rather be a **** and force quitting without actually quitting.
When it comes to straight up Versus matches, I end up just plain quitting because the teams are s...
People will always be playing games on their personal computers. That is a fact.
The bigger fact is that mainstream PC gaming, meaning big budget titles developed specifically FOR the PC community, is becoming less abundant and an afterthought in game development.
Sure there's developers like Blizzard and thousands of indie developers releasing great new content, but when hardcore PC gaming companies like Crytek and Epic Games turning their focus to consoles, it make...
Have we been screaming in your ear this whole time?
Let me step back a few feet here... ... ... ok there we go.
IW needs to pull that big floppy donkey !@#$ out of their ear!
