Agreed, let it never be revived. My most hated FF ever. Yes I hate more then XIII and yes I have played both. I kept falling asleep with XII

@DivineAssault, dude, that's not true, Turn Based and Action Based RPGs have been around a long time even before the PS1 days. So that's essentially false.

With about a 90% dislike ratio on the trailer on the video, I personally think they may have quietly canceled it.
They alienated me. Also I suggest everyone watch Jim Sterling's latest video on turn based game play. He brings up many great points about how it's stupid that turn based games are no longer made as much as they used to be.

Action RPGs certainly existed back then. It's nothing new and turn based games still sell decently well. The sells of Pokemon and Bravely Default disagrees with your statement.
Also, Persona 5 is still turn based.
My prediction is digital only at first then release it all parts on disk (however many disk it will take) then when it's released on disk, release it for the other systems it was set to release for.

I want the idea that ARPGs are new to be purged and anyone saying otherwise to be laughed at.
This hardly deserves the title of remake. It's a reimagining at this point with all the modernization.
I'm refering of course to the most toxic modernization which is episodic releasing and changing up the story from what was shown in the trailer. That boss was not fought on a train!
The battle system is another fight which has been overshadowed by the episodic nature of the game now.
Especially since today's children arent as big of fans of games from Japan and SE is alienating their core fans it is a safe conclusion to make that it might flop.
Even if they kept the ATB like in the original game, I would still avoid this likely train wreak due to the episodic nature it is now.
This is not a remake anymore, it's a reimagining.

Square Enix is shooting themselves in the foot and yet there are people defending their self destruction.
Wake up people, they are making this as a cash grab and for the modern day generation which mostly do not like Final Fantasy anyway (from my experience.)
