Appears from video they are moving to tinting the screen for hits and health. Good.
Seems like they have gotten rid of those crappy cartoony blood stains on the boarders to indicate hits. They ware just out of place.
Great that ND are listening to feedback expecially about enemies taking too much hits. There were so much criticism about this from earlier builds.

The Ps2 has a huge install base that are waiting for the right price to buy a Ps3
If they want to play ps1 or 2 games then simply use your Ps2. No brainter. I still have my Ps1 & Ps2 so 100% compatibility is no problem.
Ps3 is for the next gen experience not BC.
But likely a future firmware will bring BC anyhows, for those gamers who just can't let go of the past...or are too lazy to plug in the AV and power for your Ps2.
For the right price to migrant. Some will buy the 40G others will wait a little longer.
They have a Ps2 already so why the h3ll should they expect BC with a Ps3.

As the HDD drops so to does the price.
So if Sony gets rid of the HDD altogether and allow the buyers to get their own HDD then they could sell the Ps3 at the same price as the Wii.

Afterall, it's all done via software with the non chipped machines so obvious it'll come. PUBLIC just needs to demand it like they did with the price drop.

Bungie has shown with Halo they have great gameplay and production skills which will translate well to any new IP. I bet you Sony has already started knocking on Bungies' door for a deal.

Mark my word it did show the 40G Ps3 at $799 NZ - when first posted about 2o hours ago. But now it has been removed.

When was the last time we heard news of Microsoft reducing the production costs of the xbox 360? It's an important part to decide when to lower the price else you'd be making losses on every console sold.
It took Microsoft over a year and half to reduce the price of the xbox 360 by $50. They were likely making losses already per console sold combined with the 30% failure rate costs. If they reduce it any further - and so soon - it'll be a real sign of desperation.

After further thought, there's no luck at all.
We all know Microsoft copies Apple so they would always have a staffer attend Apple Conferences to see what they can pick up.
Sony would unlikely have a staffer attend such a conference as PC and OS business is ...
NZ & Australia pay more than the USA.
But we're looking at a NZ$400 price drop.
I'm sure there won't be many complaints about a 33% price drop to get hold of a Ps3.
And its the same price as an xbox elite(without a HD player).
