Game is great, but really don't understand it being praised so much by xbox crowd,.. Like it was the best thing since sliced bread,.. It is ok, but people were hyping it like it was a system-seller or something... There were plenty of better games on PSN and even Xbox live at that time.
It is not needlessly difficult,..It is designed like that and besides DKS3 is barely challenging,.. Besides you can over-level, if you have problems with 'dying' and replaying (which is a big part of the experience) ,.. more you play/ die, the more you learn about attack patters/world/secrets etc,..

How? I mean ,.. Experience what exactly? The main point of these games is high challenge/repetition and pattern recognition of attacks/learning and execution(trying to not get killed),..(or find some place to farm to basically insane levels as early as you can, so making mistakes is less punishing) Might as well look at let's plays ,.. or watch some vids that explain the lore/story. You won't need weeks,.. maybe 10 hours,.. and you will 'kinda' experience it.

Besides games look pretty fantastic. It is not like geometry of the game magically changes or anything ,.. (yes textures can be a bit crisper on PC, especially since running things in 4K AA is practically not needed). Framerate is pretty important in some games. But that is about it.

I hate when I have to replay entire game for some obscurely missable trophy in a 60 hour+ game (like the Bronze card shit in Witcher3, because I did not play cards with someone during some specific quest ,.. or saving some merchant was glitched (and game even has new game plus,.. but cards don't carry over for some stupid reason) It is almost painful when you clear something really hard, do all sort of stupid shit,.. and you are missing some stupid bronze for platinum ,..

Agreed,.. That is probably one of the reasons (along with amazing Stamina systems) Souls games kick so much ass,.. They try not to distract gameplay and world in any way,.. maybe to substantiate boss fights,.. but it is used very intelligently ,.. Tropico 5 is amazing,.. Actually platinumed it. Was really surprised how the hell would they make such a deep strategy game work on controller,.. but it plays great.
