The Legend of Zelda: Call of the New Frontier
Wow. I think this a a very important article.
Not only is it a massive expose on how disappointed this key developer felt and the studios as a whole but also a confirmation, with high levels of authority, that Square Enix is terrible at managing their studios.
They are wildly out of touch with the west especially but their local studio have their share of management issues.
I really love some of the stuff they put out but the games are obviously heavily being held b...
Is this game doing well?
I expected a flop and I haven't heard anybody talk about it.
Versus isn't a good example. The game was announced in 06 but barely worked on as the team kept being reassigned different work, like assisting with XIII. Final Fantasy is a different game that took elements but is a different game that started development in 2011 and released in 2016.
DS is also a very different game where the main gameplay is the traversal itself is an big system that can just be applied to any of the games environments. A game like that didn't require a lo...
Interesting. Yeah I don't think i've seen that kind of overworld past the PSone generation.
I don't know if random encounters is still a great idea. It got the job done before but it's a bit of an old solution to combat scenarios.
Not only is it more expensive to make an open world game with such high fidelity, but I think people understand open worlds better and that it's a lot of open spaces filled with filler.
They have their place and some of my favorite game are OW, but I also really love a focused experience and to not spend SO much time to play through just one game.
60fps every day baby
Sonic and All Stars Racing Transformed is still my favorite kart racer.
I've never really been able to play online tho. D:
Can't even play Team Sonic Racing online cause the servers are broken and don't queue people together.
P.S. This is such a random list. I really don't agree with it. Maybe this really is how they rank it but them just seems odd personally.
What do you expect to happen? When you buy digital anything you're not really buying anything but a license to use it when it's available.
Multiplayer things die all the time and usually nobody cares. Ubisoft is a bigger name and several games are affected to it's higher profile. That's the only difference.
Any single player content from any of these games are still available with modern hardware.
Nothing of value was lost.
AC3 remastered is unaffected.
When's the last time you pulled out your PS3 or Xbox 360 to interact with any of these games?
Do you think anybody is?
Nintendo is shutting down a much more profitable and used service this year, the 3DS eShop.
Nobody was playing Assassin's Creed 3 multiplayer on original hardware in 2022.
Why is anyone pretending like they care?
Is anyone still playing Assassin's Creed 3 on their PS3?
This is just how digital games/ digitally connected games work.
They are over a decade old and pulling a FEW servers down that nobody actively plays.
Just another way to bury Driver San Fransisco down further.
Kinda sus. No mention of the bugs/glitches or the bad bilinear filtering that makes the game blurry.
1. It's not trying to be.
2. It's still in it's infantcy. I think it'll get much better even within a couple of months and greatly in a few years.
Even if Sony did offer it they would likely decline. The only reason devs get away with making emulators is they make it from scratch and have no access to the original code.
There's not a chance Sony would allow the emulator to continue as is.
The RPCS3 folks alternatively wouldn't be able to effectively make a PS5 version without looking at original code. They've spent a decade+ developing blind on PC so blind on PS5 would take way too long to be usable in any ...
Another thing I think GP does better is it's stand alone. PS is locked to a tiered system. So much so that it appears I can't get just one month of Premium, I have to top off the entirety of my current subscription.
There's a fair bit of RE games under the Premium tier.

I'd like to try it but as far as I can tell I'd have to buy a full year. o,O
ehhh. It's kind of true. Nothing sells like COD. Last year it was the top TWO selling games. I also personally don't care about COD anymore so I don't really have a horse in the race anymore.
