Good move. A remake is an easier development in some ways and they can get a real gauge on how much people want it and how much was just hot air.
I'm about as surprised as the other commenters. I rarely hear of people having issues working with Playstation. Reading the actually article the processes indies needed to get through were confusing and overly complicated with little communication from PS.

My prediction for the next Switch.
It will be 2-4 times more powerful. Mobile screen MIGHT be 1080p.
1080p rendering will still be the target for most games but capable of outputting in 4K.
The added performance wont be for resolution as much as better performance and visual fidelity.
Maybe getting anti-aliasing in at least one game this time.

It's a 3D reworking of the original. It's the same style of the classic format but with 3D.
I admit I haven't looked to into these so maybe I'm off base but at least looking at the trailers I was tempted to get back into Pokemon.

Fromsoft has a really cool eye for artistic design that really goes a long way, which is why some people still prefer the original. The dragon in the opening for example just has this gravity to it. The color in a lot of locations don't have the same desolate atmosphere and some character designs were made less unique.
