Games Becoming movie-like is not what the industry should be aiming for, honestly. But Naughty Dog's games are fun for the most part, so I'm not worried about this one.
The Black Haired Shrine Maiden is far more generic, specially in a franchise which has black haired shrine maidens starring in pretty much every game...
Dat backwards a** logic
The final screen from the trailer is absolutely hilarious.
PC check!
PS4/Xbone/WiiU check!
Dreamca-Whaaaaaaaat?!
Oh my God, DK64's race against that gymnastic beetle thing...
Not like they could have known there would be a Wii U port years ago and gotten their hands on it to review it...
Besides, quit the act. We all know why Destiny's servers were not online. Bungie themselves warned people about early reviews. It's quite clear they were self aware on what reviewers' opinions were gonna be like for their game, and for a good reason.
ON TOPIC: I'm quite hyped for this double release. Never got to play the original ...
I hopped he equipped his ration...
Today gamer's life cycle:
New shooter with pretty graphics is revealed ->
Uncontrollable hype surrounds the reveal (for whatever reason) ->
Game releases and the majority of gamers and critics are unimpressed ->
Gamers accuse the developers of being uncreative, lazy, cliche, etc...
Well, according to like 60% of N4G users, TLOU is last gen's best game and some of those users even claim it's the best game of all time.
I find such claims to be laughable, but in the end, they're just opinions and nothing else, just like this review.
I'd hate to get my hopes up and then be disappointed... Since MH4U on Wii U would be kind of a big deal to me.
I lol'd at the skydiving ghost.
Glad they got rid of the aim assist from FF4, this is shaping up nicely.
Oh boy... please, please tell me your username doesn't imply that you read Xenocide, because I wouldn't sleep knowing that someone with the intellect and patience to read and enjoy such a book would be on N4G of all places, writing the dumbest comparison ever...
Irrelevant attempt at sarcasm. Skyrim is an old enough game to guarantee some people will be familiarized enough with the game as to be able to perform speed runs. Besides, that game has both easy to manage save states and the loading times can be optimized by the hardware it's running on.
The fact remains, Destiny relies on repetition to extend playtime.
It already is the most overhyped game this gen. I played through both the Alpha and Beta versions of the game, and it was ok, and that was the problem... It was TOO okay to be anything worth the hype.
In my opinion, the VG market is already plagued with first person shooters and MMORPGs, so I find it unbelievable just how many gamers will go spend their hard-earned money on a game that doesn't really bring anything new to the FPS and MMORPG genres.
Oh, an...
I didn't watch the stream, so excuse my ignorance. But, is that it?
Was that the whole "unexpected unexpectation that's unexpectedly gonna blow your mind!"?
Come on now, this game has been rumored for quite a long time...
Considering the Wii U came out in 2012, no, we are not within the first 9 months of the 8th gen era.
Also, the stealth genre isn't going anywhere. This gen has already seen games like:
*Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes (The Phantom Pain is on its way too!)
*Splinter Cell: Blacklist
*Thief
*Outlast (this one being survival-horror/stealth)
I'm also hoping we'll get plenty more stealth games in the future
That didn't stop the Wii, though. Casual gamers flocked after it like crazy.
With the Wii U, we have a different scenario. Here's this little box that promises to play some of the most unique, fun and polished franchises out there for a decent price without relaying almost entirely on gimmicks and games catered to the casual, meaning that its only purpose is to be a console for dedicated gamers, so sales will obviously not be as good, we're not talking about a me...
I actually wanted it to be more like Doom 3, but I'm pretty sure that I'm the minority among Doom fans...
Actually, you can still sidestep with dual analog controls, it was easier in Goldeneye/Perfect Dark though, but only because the auto-aim sensitivity was perfectly accurate, which in my opinion, took away some of the challenge.
Now, Turok is a different story...
