Just picked up a 980ti and 144hz 2K monitor, i'm set for TRUE next gen gaming long before the consoles will achieve it. I'm happy not buying a replacement PS4 or X1, and i'm definitely not buying whatever nintendo is selling. Burned me with the wii u, never again.
Very few companies go the extra mile on PC ports, which is sad, especially given the x86 architecture the new consoles are using. The problem lies in publishers outsourcing PC ports so the main dev can make sure the console versions are working, because that's where the bulk of the sales are.
Another problem is just not having enough talented people that can properly optimize the games for PC, so they either crap out a port and leave it up to the community to fix it (Dark Souls)...
It needs to not be built by a group of old japanese men that are a decade behind the rest of the world in online, account management, and ditching the gimmicks. So in other words, it needs to be done by someone other than nintendo.
It really isn't that great of a game if you've already played through XC and games like FF12. I got bored two hours in.
Wow, you got me beat. Biggest regrettable purchase this decade so far, and if they don't release a new zelda game for it, i'll be smashing it to pieces.
Kind of hard to have bugs in nintendo games when it's the same 4 games over and over again, just touched up when the hardware flops forward half a gen every 6 years.
Honestly for me, RE3 really started the decline of the true formula. Several ammo pickups, herbs galore, overpowered weapons, easily being able to dodge any attack, the list goes on. A fantastic game, but definitely felt more action oriented than the first 2.
I enjoyed RE5, but again, like with RE4, i don't consider them true RE games. The co op in RE5 was truly phenomenal if you had someone with a sliver of skill.
RE4 did more for action games in the last decade than 99% of what came before it. Survival horror died with that game, and Dead Space picked up the slack...for 2 games at least. I still consider RE4 to be one of my favorite games of all time, but i've never considered it really a true RE game.
I would never take advice from these guys. They consist of a team that have such an extreme bias towards playstation i'm convinced the have DS4s surgically implanted in their asses.
Runs perfect on my 3 year old pc. That AMD APU is really shining bright!
The aesthetic, much like splatoon, was done in such a cheesy way that it turned a lot of people off, myself included. Not everyone wants to be reminded of how edgy the devs are by throwing in half baked 90's references everywhere.
The problem is using cheap, underpowered APU units from AMD. Quit screwing around, contract nvidia to make a beast, charge $600 or $700, and let everyone enjoy 4K video streaming, every game at 1080p and 60fps with zero compromises.
I went into a gamestop last week and my god, what a waste of space. New games being sold cheaper than used copies, funko dolls everywhere, and three walls of skylanders. One of them asked me if i wanted to preorder any upcoming games, and i asked if they offered a deal like amazon does, and just watched his soul crush. You can tell that 20% discount is taking a chunk out of their profits, especially considering you have two weeks after release to nab it too.
So Wii 2 then?

Believe it when i see it. Nintendo's greatest flaw is that they never learn from their mistakes. They sacrifice a lot of things that would make them more successful just to have a "look at us, we're unique" aspect, and 90% of the time, it backfires. It worked great for the wii and DS, and that's it.
They can't seem to create a functioning PC port of anything without some sort of major issue. Unfortunately this is one game i'll have to try and pick up on console if i want to play it instead of worrying about a keyboard driver banning my account......
Eliminating UWP would be a good one. I'm pretty happy with my X1 though. External storage, 25 hour battery life on controllers, very, very nice custom controllers, backwards compatibility, runs cooler and quieter than my PS4. Let nintendo go under by releasing another gimmick filled half console, and let sony split their userbase and lose consumer trust when they lock games behind neo. Just make excellent games and all will even out.
I can wait a year and get a bundle for half price
