That was not exactly a glowing review. From the sounds of it this game will get a 7.0 to 8.0 depending on the system preference of the reviewer. Still gonna be a must have at launch due to the small library on offer. Reviewers arent always in tune with the average gamers expectations of a game. My brother in law has 3 preorders so hopefully he keeps one and I can try this out for myself. I personally think the story concept is really cool and FPS games never get old for me.
Honestly if this is as good as it gets on 360 I am more than happy. I played for 4 hours last night and my jaw is still back home on the floor. The first thing that popped into my head this morning was "GEARS OF WAR" This is a masterpiece. Even hardcore Sony fans should at the very least rent a system for this game. Sony should be doing more to integrate psp with PS3. I have a psp already. It seems that they are really overlooking a huge advantage it could have over MS. I suppose the weakness of their online strategy is holding them back. It would be funny if MS dominated this aspect of connectivity with a unit that does less than a psp. If you can call the psp a game machine I know I dont use it for games cause it sucks. Great for watchin videos on the plane though.

40" samsung lcd hdtv and it came with a free upscaling dvd player which is hooked up with hdmi cable. The result is amazing on animated movies like shrek but alot of dvds dont look that hot. I guess that the quality of some dvds is better than others. Could this be from a poor transfer of the film to DVD? I gotta try out some more movies to see I guess.
I am a graphics whore I admit it. The next gen games from Sony and MS are a dream come true for me. The more movie like they get the more time I invest playing them. I disagree with the comment of dirt on a plate lets call it chocolate cake instead.
After the update it seems to take longer to go from the splash screen to the dashboard or game. screen goes black for a good 5 to 10 seconds. Everything works fine and I get the pop up notifications while the screen is black so It is not crashing just taking a bit longer to boot up the dashboard or game. Maybe a defrag utility in the next update is in order?
The exploding head takes the cake. This is the most impressive gameplay footage i have ever seen on any platform. I held my breath the whole time. Next gen apparently starts 10 days before Sony thinks so. Resistance suddenly looks terrible next to this masterpiece. I hope the gameplay matches the graphics. Did I mention the exploding head? WOW

I actually laughed out loud when i heard it for the first time on the website. The site is nice looking but the all the blah blah blah justify justify justify was pretty lame. PS3 is gonna speak for itself so shut up and release the damn thing.
I am stoked on this game as much as anyone but this trailer isnt what you guys are making it out to be. I think its kind of fruity if you know what I mean. The game play footage gets my blood pumping.

Sony never intended to launch they only strung people along to try and prevent them from buying a 360. Well its just a month or two more I can wait. on and on and on. millions of people have been playing in the next gen for a year now. Sony says next gen doesnt start till they say so? more like next gen doesnt end untill they launch.
I love COD and this looks truely next gen. I hope 360 version looks this good. This is the best thing i have seen for PS# so far.
if you skate or did for 25 years like me (knees are destroyed) you will love this game. Its the first one that had me trying to do things that might be possible in real life. Love the bullit time foot control that is the bomb. has the fun factor of the original two versions.

Damn that thing is ugly. It really looks outdated. Barely any difference between the ps2 and ps3 and the ps2 is decade old. If you asked a non gamer which was the older machine I believe they would pick the PS3 due to its enourmous size. I would rather they made the power brick external and cut the size down. I will wait till they have a slim version before buying one.
The sale of consoles is really irrelevant. In fact the company that sells the least consoles actually makes more money since both MS and Sony lose a ton of cash for each console sold. The real winner is the company that sells the most software since thats were the recoup their losses. So far Xbox 360 has the highest rate of game purchases for any console (console price a factor) so i declare MS the victor here so far.
