but i still think the 360 version is nicer looking for this particular game. The clouds look nicer on the ps3 version but overall 360 wins hands down. i am waiting for a couple 2nd gen sony exclusives before laying down the cash but for multi platform games i will buy the 360 versions for the graphics and the online play. This is coming from a home cinema site. They dont give a rats ass about gaming. HDDVD is a better format for hi def movies with more features than bluray. Sales this early in the game mean f all since PS3 owners are buying movies and trading in their coupons cause the lack of games to play. The green filter on MGs looks cool. CSI: tv shows do something similar with color filters, blue for csi: new york, yellow for csi: miami, and green for CSI: Vegas. definately gives a subtle ambiance to the shows. Besides the main character looking like a geriatric homo with a mullet in a batman costume the images look great. I wonder how it will look in game?
The price went up by $50 in canada a few weeks after launch. now with tax comes to $800 which is too much I am hopint the price falls this summer cause the games are coming soon and are looking good plus rumble is back in GT HD so controllers cant be far behind. Its almost as if Sony is listening or something cause everything I hated about the PS3 is being changed....except the damn price tag.
people who dont think this is impressive just have not had any experience with 3d modelling and rendering. I have a $5000 dual xeon rendering server that takes about 3 minutes to render just one shot using ray tracing. I know that 3d max can use linux based render slaves so this may be a really great thing for me at work. I am a little put off now with all this micro one-up-manship. I have spent $5000 on my setup including the 360 hddvd drive 40" lcd, polk audio and sony receiver setup. I got a sony receiver that does hdmi splitting so i can put two hdmi in and one out to the tv. It wasnt very expensive plus it sounds killer. I would bet that a splitter is available and if not now it will come out soon as hdmi is taking off.
I am here saying nice work on sony's behalf actually getting enough consoles to the market. I am surprised and wondering how I should prepare the hat I am about to eat. i am thinking a nice teriyaki marinade would be fitting. i do look forward to seeing the exclusive games that will start to ship now the install base is getting up there. I am an xbox owner and I do love it but I kinda like the PS3 subdued colors it looks more lifelike to me. Really though I can see the "mine is better than yours" arguements tapering off recently. The two consoles are doing te same thing giving us great games and killer graphics. It really is just a matter of taste with regard to the controllers and exclusives and noone can tell someone else they are wrong in what they enjoy.
I will buy when and if rumble hits and GT# but not till then.
if reality is so great you should be playing it instead of posting on these articles. I hear Parking Lot Simulator and Lunch Line are the best games availble on reality at the moment. Reality is sitting on shelves and no one wants it.
