I seriously contemplated not cutting the upc outta my ps3 box for the crap a$$ selection you have to pick from. I ended up doing it and I will just trade them into blockbuster for store credit towards some decent titles. I want to get surf's up that movie is so great i gotta have the hi def version.
I really enjoy how great the control scheme is. I find I just dont even think about what my hands are doing I just think what does drake need to do. The aiming and firing is spot on it feels good to take someones eye out at 50 meters behind a tree. Sounds small but some games are so bad. Assassins creed for one. the damn horse keeps stopping mid gallop. cant wait to get home and play it some more.
yea your probably right. I was thinking about it and when gears came out it was mind blowing. Drakes comes out a year later and everyone is desensitized. I guess I just didnt get that "holy sh1t" feeling when I played drakes for the first time like I did with GOW. I suppose thats the point of this article.
I will try it on hard tonight. I am not dissing Drakes cause After about 15 minutes I was hooked. I actually could feel myself getting pulled in. The reason for that is the very good control scheme very intuitive.

To me Gears is the game to beat. So damn addictive. I played it for a year straight with only a few hours of Skate mixed in. It has been a year and PS3 still doesnt have a Gears of War. Graphically I think HS looks as impressive maybe even more than gears but gameplay wise not my thing. I know PS3 is going to get its masterpiece which is why I bought one but it hasnt happened yet.
First off let me say that I played it for the first time last night. Really enjoyed it, the controls work fantastic, BUT! this game is not the graphics king. Gears absolutely smokes Drakes in the graphics department. Anyone who owns both consoles knows this as fact. Some things look great like the moss on the rocks, the water is good. even if the ps3 gets divx support my experience so far trying to stream anything to the ps3 has been frustratingly difficult. I am a mac user so it has even less options as far as software. With windows media 11 which is free for windows users the streaming to the xbox is flawless. If anyone knows of an easy free way to stream media to the PS3 please let me know. it would be cool if you could change the settings in the game and make everyone happy. Like someone said earlier some HDTV's have poor handling of contrast and blacks(LCD especially)which may make the first screen unplayable. it would be good if you could adjust the lighting in game rather than on your tv for this. My 360 will do it when it gets shipped back to me from the MS graveyard but the PS3 is so much more quiet I would definately choose it over my 360 for watching video. BTW I am new to the PS3 does it stream video and music from a pc?
