by not showering, eating nothing but cola and chips, and never having to take girls on a date. If your using your PC enough to worry about the cost your probably not spending money on anything else.
have to admit the wow is not there the way the first one was. Graphics are better everything is refined a little but overall I am not rushing home to play it or calling in sick like I did for Gears 1. But really no game has done that for me since Gears 1 since that game spoiled me with the expectation that all games should blow me away, still waiting for that to happen.
PS3 has a lot of variety of games and a wide audience. each game will attract a certain segment of the gamers. divide the number of ps3's sold by the number of different user/owner profiles and you get less sales per genre. Xbox is big in North America which has a slightly narrower user profile. Like me I am a huge shooter/action adventure fan as is a lot of of the north american xbox folk. If a good quality shooter/Act Adv. game comes out on the 360 you can almost guarantee huge sales number...

The iphone is great and not for tools although alot of tools own them. I use mine daily for gps games phone internet etc. How does this make me and millions of other people a tool? You sir a candidate for the open zone with inept comments like that. I have had 2 psp's and they sucked, the controls, the size, the crap umd drive, cheap build quality, failing lasers, on and on. Give it a rest tool.

I was in the mall last weekend and they had 3 PS3's running LBP and a couple of bored reps playing the game for kids and parents. There was no pizzaz no giveaways nothing the whole thing just blended in to the scene like one of those hat stands you see in the middle of the mall. When xbox does these they go all out and attract attention. This shoestring advertising will not captivate anyone. Damnit Sony Wake up you have a monster on your hands and people dont even know about it.
and it is doing it during the worst economic crisis in 70 years. Price for Br-ay players and movies have hit the sweet spot. Watch bluray players and movies fly off the shelves come Christmas.
It was a stand at the front of the store full of awesome titles in the $17-$20 range. For me that is the sweet spot. I know you can get them cheap online but being able to waltz into a store and pick up Departed for pocket change is what I have been waiting for. I had to buy Sleeping Beauty for my daughter so I went for the B-ray.
than the sound of bullets ripping into the enemy in COD4, That ripping sound is music to my ears. I agree that sound is really important and if you have a real sound system it is at least 30-40% of the experience.

A couple hours a night for me. you dont go to a nice restaurant and devour it in 10 minutes. I am just past the worm and I am really starting to get into it. Playing on hardcore is great the AI is pretty damn good with the exception of the odd locust being obviously def. Playing a year of MP on Gears 1 sure helps playing campaign on Gears2.
but you have to appreciate that games like resistance are a dime a dozen on 360. R2 is so similar to Halo that you have to forgive 360 owners for being underwhelmed by it. Gears gave us something different than the same old run n gun format. Gears is tactical and R2 is a fragfest. two completely different game play styles. R2 is a great game for PS3 owners no doubt but it is old hat.
Its called shrapnel. The grenade bounced off the pillar and landed 10 feet away. I was actually impressed with that bit of footage. No game has ever been this detailed in destructable environments. I am no fanboy and gears is my fav game but you gotta give it up for this game it looks incredible.
What percentage of gamers go beat prostitutes after playing. Virtually 0%. I in 4 million people are affected by games so lets persecute all gamers. This crap makes me ill.

These graphics are stunning. I just hope that after this other games dont look like crap in comparison, this is going to spoil me much like gears did last year. As far as I am concearned visuals have gone as far as they need to. Any more real and it would be scary. I used to play pong for god's sake!
I waited forever last night to get in a match. I dont have a ton of time to play games,this has killed the game for me. Let me know when its fixed, I will be playing scrabble with my wife till then. Why did they change the system anyway, if it isnt broken dont fix it.
