Wow....wow! So basically give the Wii every 360 feature and your good? I can't believe people actually think this way. They actually want a wireless classic controller bundled with the system INSTEAD of the Wii remote? That is by far the dumbest idea I have ever heard.
Yes the OS needs work but to completely copy the 360/PS3 structure would be worthless seeing as how they have more powerful systems would in turn mean the Wii would get a dumb down version of even the OS.

Chris399 you are making excuses as to why the Ps3 didn't sell more then it did? What for? the Ps3 sales are still amazing compared to the turnaround from last month.

Then dont think like that. The Wii got me back into gaming. I didn't even buy a console last gen and was fine just playing games at other people's houses. Great graphics,online and immersive stories are great but sometimes i only have so many minutes to play a game, the Wii is great for pick up and play.without it i may have not got back into gaming.
For people like me the Wii is a great console for many reasons but this is coming from someone who loves the Nes/Snes-Genesis days ...
Wii had a tremendous start but is now selling much like the ps2 did. The question is will the Wii have longevity as its games do.
Man i wish this site was monitored like Neogaf. They have the ban hammer over there. I wish more gamers on here acted as adults instead of "cheering" for their favorite gaming team when sales get brought up.
In saying that the Ps3 sales are incredible and this holiday season looks to be a good one.

You guys do understand that New Super Mario Bros on the DS sold 20 million copies right? I expect NSMB to kill MW2 in total sales when it is all said in done, BUT MW2 will be front loaded meaning everyone will buy it in the first month or so ....soooo I believe either MW2 or Wii Sports Resort will take the top spot for game of the year in sales.
I love how the Wii is casual. It baffles me to think it took three generations for one of the video game makers to realize that casuals are a big market.
Sorry but i can't agree with what you say. I do believe that is how you think but unfortunately your thoughts are the exact same demographic you speak of, 18-24. I have to ask you why you think every game should cater to your age and gender?
If I was a female who got into gaming because of the Nintendo DS what games could the hd twins offer me that I would be satisfied with? Remember a lot of buttons confuse me as I'm still a new comer to the gaming scene and want to work my way ...

You don't understand Nintendo or their current blue ocean strategy to assume that is the path they will take. Nintendo is not going to compete for Sony on a tech level. It will compete where Sony and Microsoft are not at.

I hate when people make educated guesses and state it as a mysterious "source". Just come out and say "this is a possibility."
This is a very good guess, and may happen, but then again, I believe to see a bunch of stuff at the fall conference from Nintendo including more info on Galaxy, Zelda, Other M, Cosmic Walker,and some nice announcements of games that have not been unveiled.
I don't think Pachter has been "right" on any console this entire generation.
will be interesting this holiday in japan with NSMB and FFXIII on different consoles.
it would surprise me if Nintendo dropped the price to be honest.
I think the bigger question is how many units the Wii will sell this holiday since the Ps3 has had its price cut. And will New Super Mario Bros. be as big as everyone thinks?
I agree with the os it needs massive work(i know they were wii owner submitted) Harmonix doesn't get it..why is vicarious visions doing a better job with Guitar Hero and its always connected nature on Wii than the RockBand franchise?(GH5 introduced the best wii to ds connectivity i personally have ever seen)
Nintendo has given third parties many tools that third parties STILL are not using.
Wii Speak is voice chat on Wii, besides NHL 2k10 and CoD:MW(oh look another port)...
