I'm talking about value innovation regardless of what value you are talking about the Wii was built with value innovation in mind. Not Value in the terms of features compared to its competition.

There is no way to prove or disprove your point as it is more opinion. Fact is most non-gamers buy the wii because of its fun factor which is achieved by its ease of use which in turn makes the other 2 consoles irrelevant in a non-gamers eyes looking for a wii they just played at a friends house. The Wii was built to completely satisfy the non-gamer right down to the controller looking like a remote which gives a familiar look to it.

let me ask you a question. Lets say im a nongamer about 2 buy a videogame system because my friends have them, Im looking for fun and ease of use. Multiple buttons scare me but i want fun what do you suggest?

Come talk to me when a Sony video game system can go 3 years without a pricecut. It takes a Ps3 and all of its tech a 50% price drop to even compete with the inferior Wii.

If they release a black Wii there would be no reason for a price cut. Ipods have proven this theory correct as has Nintendo's own DS line. Colors sell.

I'll have to semi-agree with you(although reading a summary of the book from Wiki wont really help unless you read the book).
Software is a problem, but not for Nintendo. Nintendo is providing their games for Wii success. First was the pack in WiiSports, than WiiFit, Mario Kart, etc. But what has third parties done?

Read the Blue Ocean Strategy(which Nintendo used to create their new business model) and you'll see through the entire book how a price cut is the worst thing you can do for a product.

I find it funny you hate how the Wii is $250 but are fine with an Ipod touch mp3 player being the same price as the Ps3 Slim.
Note: I forgot Apple just had their conference and announced new pricing for their Ipod Touch line...now you can get an Ipod touch at cheapest for the price of a Xbox Arcade...or at more expensive $100 dollars more than a Ps3.
why so there can only be core games made for the 18-30 male demographic? Yea i also wished they would stop making economy cars because i wish all cars on the road were from premium auto makers such as BMW, Audi and Jaguar. *sarcasm*
Ps3 price cut didn't dent the Wii. You do understand that the Wii is the first console ever to go this long without a price cut? The Wii is it's own enemy, Microsoft and Sony are battling with Nintendo, btu the funny thing is the Nintendo Wii is more battling with the entire game industry and its dropping loses. Nintendo is focused on the industry growth, not beating its competitors.
man if this gave you 1:1 controls while in that view with the Wii wheel i would buy it regardless of graphics, but the wheel animations look to not be 1:1 and more more like a normal controller. Man i wish the Wii could get a proper race game with presision controls. Lemans Wii needs to happen.
Great game but now i want Turtles in Time, Xmen:Mutant Apocalypse, Double Dragon, Ninja Gaiden, Ghost N Goblins, Ecco the Dolphin with Wii controls.....just remake every great game from the last 20 years for WiiWare and I wont have to buy any new games ever.
Thing about that is for me personally i dont like respending money on consoles every 5 years to stay in the know. Besides we are really starting to hit the ceiling with graphics. It is getting to the point where sweat in games is a feature, which to me is absolutely funny. I'm looking at you Fight Night!

No the ps2 is the king for what it did, but it seems like you are already judging the wiis life time performance to the ps2 when all the facts lead to the Wii outselling it in a shorter time span. That is for now, Wii could stop selling and what you say is true but for right now the Wii is doing things the industry has never seen, from a business prospective.
