@mahr
i usually agree with you but codecow indeed works at visceral just as capkraig(which also uses neogaf) works 4 capcom. Many devs actually use neogaf, hell even pachter and jaffe use it. just saying.
so EA is going to blame customers for poor sales of a lightgun game with almost no replay value?
Not to mention that NO retailers outside of gamestop even had the game. No Walmart, Target or Best buys in my area even have it in stock
Sorry but until devs start treating the wii with respect i could care less about your sales and this coming from a guy who bought the game, loves it,but realizes it should only be a rental
I still care, but yea the hype for the game has dropped
"visit the gears and mechanics underneath the 'It's a Small World' ride, complete with an eerie re-imagining of the music"
Like it wasn't eerie enough
The guy has lost it.
Sad how no one in gaming really knows of Shepard Fairey. Great artist. Saw his first solo exhibition in Boston about 2 months ago. Crazy how he got the idea for Obey from the movie They Live. Great exhibition, great artist.
Maybe Sega should stop trying to impress core gamers with looks (Remember how the Conduit was hyped as the best looking Wii game to date? Or how bad ass Madworld looked in black and white with blood as the only color?) and start trying to impress them with gameplay and content. I don't care about how much blood is on the screen or how awesome the particle effects are, is the gameplay there? Do I get into the game? How is the replayability? Does it get boring quick, could added content help th...
to answer your question, Nintendo feels that those games that are published by Nintendo like Zelda, Mario Galaxy , Brawl, etc. are actually "new to somone" who has just bought a Wii. Which actually is true for the most part. Just because the game has been out for 2 years does not mean that the price should be dropped. Most games such as the above do not usually get sequels (this gen will debunk this though but usually we only get one Mario, Zelda, etc. per console generation)

Wonder how NSMB will do for hardware.
It is true that there is a lot of hardcore and casuals games, but a lack of bridge games. Its an obvious issue as you can see in the sales that it is very hard for a nongamer used to titles like Wii Sports and Guitar Hero to transition to a game such as House of the Dead: Overkill, or Metroid.
More bridge games could mean bigger sales for more core related titles.
The Wii got me back into gaming. I lost interest last generation for some reason and didnt play a single game in over 2 years outside of a couple pc games. Gaming when I was younger in my memory was so much better than it is now. For me that is. It is hard to overshadow you and a friend dying 100 times in Contra, or getting the feather and hiding in the lake in Super Mario Kart in battle mode. And lets not forget the arcades which was a gamers dream.
These are my favorite gaming memorie...
Crazy how none of you understand that this article is about their business models.
Sad how headlines are the only things people read around here.
Man how odd would this generation be had HDDVD won?
shock and awe
Completely agree. S&P2 is to be a big title if they would push the product more. Seems like with some titles though Nintendo doesn't give the proper push the titles deserve. Makes you think they know how much they will sell, and plans marketing accordingly.
The Vitality Sensor doesn't seem like the kind of product a core gamer might want, but i feel Nintendo has more core ideas up its sleeves than what we have seen.
Motion controls will one day become the norm just as the dpad and analog controls made the joystick obsolete.
Haters need to deal. Its the evolution of the controller.
If Nintendo really wants to punish HomeBrew users they would have made a console that broke more often than an Xbox.....that way it would break and without a warranty a HB'er would be SOL.
lol you don't need to...although Linkdln is a great site to double check to see who people are in the industry. I checked him a couple months ago ;)
