agree. You sounds a little fanboyish, but you make some good points. The original plan for HD was to broadcast only in HD by 2004. Now, 3 years later, we still don't know when that will happen.
I love RPGs of any type (except maybe grinding mmo's) and this game just looks delicous. Chopin's music is awesome too, so I'd love to hear what they've done with it.
My intention isn't to sway this thread to the usual debate, but when is the PS3 going to get ANY games I'm interested in? And NO, I don't own a 360 or a PS3. Not a fanboy.
The 360 may sell twice as many games as the wii, but it costs 100 times less to make a huge wii hit. (I pulled those numbers out of my arse, but you get the idea).
I own a wii, and I got because last year was my senior year of college and I couldn't afford the other systems. Not everyone's mommy buys them the new game systems. I also figured the wii already had some fun (albeit sorta lame) games that I could mess around with until good ones came out. But I am planning on getting another console at some point. How is Zelda innovative? It's just a GC port with some half-tacky motion sensoring thrown in (great game though). If any Wii title has a chance to really change the gaming scene, it's Metroid Prime 3 and it's control scheme. That could be the future of all FPS'. Only time will tell.
is not going to be one of the most innovative games of 2007. It may be one of the best (and sure as he11 one of the most fun), but it won't be that innovative.
Why are 3 of these games shooters, one is just a sequel, and one is just a super-powered guitar hero? If these are the most innovative games of 2007 then this year really sucked for innovation. Just an fyi - I'm not saying any of these games are bad!
Now that video games are becoming more and more cinematic and more movie-like, what's the point in making them into studio movies? I haven't played it yet, but it seems to me that if you took Bioshock (just as an example) and made it into a movie it'd basically be the game minus you shooting/killing people and having to cut out a ton of the plot. Why would you pay for that?

There are SO many animes that seem to BEG to become hollywood movies (though none ever will), and there are some that BEG to stay animated forever. This movie will suck so much.
I'm going to buy either a 360 or a PS3 sometime in the future. This would heavily help out Playstation's cause. But make no mistake, I'm not dumb enough to buy a console for just one game! haha :)

was better than Halo 1's, but not by much. I enjoyed them both a lot. My main problem with Halo 2's SP was that they STILL had the repetitive level designs. Maybe to a lesser extent, but after all the criticism the first game got because of that, you'd think they would've really tried to vary things up. But let's face it, no one is buying Halo 3 for the single player. That's always been and always will be just a perk.

Anyway, I picked my copy up today, having previously not played the first two in the series. So far I only had about an hour to play, but it was really fun. I felt very immersed in the game and the controller scheme is awesome.
that looks like a lot of fun! My only question is: how long is that going to be fun for before it gets redundant? I can't imagine after killing 500 enemies in the same however many ways, I'll want to kill another 5000. But this is all just speculation, I hope they prove me wrong.

360...doesn't have that many great games, but certainly more than the other two systems.. All of you 360 fanboys are overhyping it's selection.
PS3...has no great games, but will in the next few months probably.
Wii...has maybe 2 great games as of next week, though everyone has to remember that Zelda is just a GC port pretty much. Also, in all these lists I see of upcoming wii games people list games like Red Steel 2 as a great upcoming game. Did you PLAY RS1?...

I can't say I was huge into either of the first two games in this trilogy - but with the reviews this game is getting I guess I'll have to buy it! I do love both puzzles and FPS', so I guess I should give this more of a chance.
If I can beat a game in under 20 hours...and there's no multiplayer...why would I buy it? I could easily beat it in 3-5 days - which would cost $4-7. And you're all probably thinking "but it has replay value!". Okay, I could rent it again and beat it again, and then rent it again, and again, and again.
