This is exciting news. Only problem is, who's gonna buy the system between now and then and waste all that money? Anyway, it probably will mean a large boost in sales for November and December. Now Sony just needs some good games to come out!
This certainly gives me a reason to wait a bit longer before deciding which 'hardcore' system to buy.

As usual, the graphics look phenomenal. And the gameplay looks fun, but I'm having deja-vu. Every gameplay clip looks the same! Hide behind a pillar of stone, pop out and shoot some random baddie humans, tuck and roll, repeat.

I hate to rehash what I *just* posted, but I will.
Do you forget all of the great games Rare made for the N64? Goldeneye, Perfect Dark, Conker, Banjo+etc., and I guess Donkey Kong 64 to some extent. That's not what I call a "whole lotta strike out".
But yeah, Nintendo really should back developers more. Luckily, with the current Wii sales I'm sure many high profile developers are going to get on board anyway.

There's cause for concern. With the current ratio of AWFUL graphic games to AWESOME graphic games on the Wii, there's a reason to fear that...well...you won't fear this game. But if they really decide to make this game of a high quality, I know that the graphics of MP3 can even be outdone at this time. Then it would kick ass. Hopefully they don't take the easy route just to make money.

I really don't understand the whole becoming a mecha thing. Normally you're small and you fight small things with a sword. Then, you become big and fight big things in the same way with a sword. But the camera zooms out, so...what's the difference?
If you guys think they f**ked up Madden '08, just look at the games EA made for the Wii. *shudder*
