There actually is a difference but the video does state that the capture is in 1080p. The PS4 Pro version runs at 1440p.
Played some of the demo and that was too much wasted time. Feels 10 years old with really clunky controls. Some of the effects are cool and I did like the intro but not even a sale will get me to buy it. Also, after only an hour I already tired of the loud musical warnings when something bad was coming my way. Too overused IMHO.
I'm on my third play through. Best Resi game since 4 IMHO.
My opinion is really different than pretty much everything I read here. I thought it was very much like the first one which was mediocre. Single player is alright but not enough for me to say it was great. 7 out of 10 perhaps ???
If it was only that simple. Even on PC there are very few 4K textures in games that run at 4K. Rainbow six six just recently received 1440 textures, not 4K. Resolution and texture resolution are very different. I play many games at 1440p on my gtx 1080 and the texture resolution does not change.
Also isn't the ram shared on all consoles? 12 gig is not just for video.

One must also consider the game engines. As some have spoken (Guerrilla Games) the engine was developed for 30fps regardless of resolution. Would they be able to hit 60? I doubt it, but my point is that numbers are almost meaningless these days. Just show me the goods because there are always concessions. Ummmm. That's a yes and a no. If a games assets are 720p just upscaling to 4k does not make them 4k, there's more to it than that. example; recently assets for Rainbow Siege were redone at a resolution of 1440p for PC and that made a difference. The original 1080p (or less) textures upscaled to 4k were not nearly as impressive. Neither MS or Sony have the secret sauce that makes old look all new and shiny. I took my time (and got lost once in a while, sigh) and I had 12 hours of enjoyment. Ending was so so but overall I really really liked this game. Time well wasted.
Actually Sony does not own 4k bluray technology.
However. On PS4 UC4 Multiplayer is 900p. On the PS4 Pro it is 1080p. No advantage to the experience per se but the resolution difference is there. You can swing jargon however there is always that gray area.
Xbox One is a blur-fest and aliasing abounds. I'm surprised how bad it looks to tell you the truth.

Sorry all but I think it looked like a crap game that was doomed to fail anyway. Good call but it needs to be replaced with something more substantial that what scalebound was.
I call BS on the uncompressed 4K textures for gaming. No PC game to date has 4K textures yet. 1440p textures are a real killer currently with a 6 gig video card even with my gtx1080. PR speak is always so far from the truth. Just release a good product and make everyone's expectations according to that product met. It should be that simple.
I don't think we ca call it an upgrade. I believe it's microsofts start of the next gen Just my take on it.
Why should no single player bother anyone? I knew what I was buying up front so why should I be disappointed in that? Not every game needs everything.
And still MS is just too full of itself. New hardware will not, in the beginning garner new game experiences. The have dropped the ball for their consoles with almost everything coming out on PC and being already better, yes more expensive, than Scorpio. Specs? Not even a year away and still no sign of a prototype? Smells fishy and not much incentive to make a move to it yet. Too much talk and nothing to see is a little unsettling. Just my 2 bits.
