I disagree. MP games are just as much at risk. Variety is wheat keeps the industry going so I think both are necessary.

Gears 4 was generic and average. Quantum break was a dud. I’m not holding my breath that the next iterations will be any different. Unfortunate but neither or both of those games will help MS.

The game play is really good and I loved the combat. More story, puzzles than combat but I think the split is done properly. I have played this through 3 times on PC. Only minor complaint I have is the cutscenes cannot be skipped. I understand because of the story why they did this though but on multiple playthroughs I wish I had the option. Great game though.
Please Insomniac (Sony), re-master the Resistance series. Please please please.

I would say games are an interactive story not a static one so the idea of 'watching' a game I don't think is possible (not like watching someone else play). I have yet to see a game without some interaction story driven or not. So, a game cannot be a film, youtube video, movie etc as those do not require user interaction.

I have a Skylake I5 6600k and a GTX 1080 and I can only run at 1440p with max settings. I tried to get to 4K but could not unless I went to 30 fps. I prefer 60 however, thus 1440p.
The game s is actually quite good. Good story, nice vistas and I think great combat. On my 3rd play through but I do wish now that I could skip the cutscenes. For 40 bucks it was well worth it then.

I think Overwatch got loot boxes right. Don't care about the skins for the player don't buy them. You may win them and you may not but if you don't care it costs you nothing. Nothing in the loot box is beneficial to game play or adds new challenges to the game. Sorry but MS / Rare aren't first.
If MS ever bought Valve/Steam I would immediately quit PC gaming.
