Pot, meed kettle. If they don't represent the fanbase, why do you get to say your still being excited means the general fanbase is excited (as opposed to alienated?) Rhetorical question sweetie, you don't.

For the record, I'd say people pestering SE about more traditional JRPGs resulting in the success of Bravely Defualt and the creation of I am Setsuna, as well as the mediocre fan reception of FF15 means there is a pretty good sized chunk of the fanbase that is...

The SMT series as a whole is more mature than most games, full stop. This is Including the games in the series with a lighter overall tone. Mostly because they aren't trying to be mature just to be mature and get attention, they're actually interested in exploring themes and have something meaningful to say. Mass Effect, for example, rarily has anything to actually say (though it has it's moments.) Persona 3 is quite clear from early on, and it hammers on these points at every opp...

If you want to argue that Vahn is the player perspective character, he's a very poor version of one. Good narrator characters have something significant to add to the story, for example we're getting the interpretation of events from a character who's views conflict with the main characters views and that influences how they tell the story, so we effectively get 2 versions of the same series of events (what we see happening and what the narrator sees happening,) or we get distance...

I can. Mostly because I cannot be made to use windows 10 no matter what MS does, so said CPUs are off the table unless I switch to linux because MS is being a prick. On linux said CPU is being way under utilized because I have a gaming PC not a work station and the AAA games that might require it's power rarily support linux.

maybe try playing an actually good JRPG? Skies of Arcadia? The Persona series? The wider SMT series? The Chrono games. Lost Oddsey. Disgiea. Trails in the sky. Seriously, take 20 seconds to look beyond the samey surface level stuff and there is no shortage of good games. The genre doesn't begin and end at a dozen mediocre Tales and SAO games. Kinda like every other genre really, for every 1 Sants Row 3 or The Witcher 3 there are like 20 open world ubisoft/WB games that are all effective...

Yes and no. There are people who will specifically target me because I'm a chick, there is a reason I don't use a mic unless I'm already familiar with most people involved. Most are just trolls who are like that to everybody, yes, but some aren't and are perfectly pleasent to other people while being a jerk to me. Unfortunately these are usually the most persistant kind (ie the kind who don't stop when I ignore them,) and while they aren't common by any stretch of the ...

And can you know if the dlc is worth it before you buy it? No, you can't, and season passes are still unacceptable. An after the fact -purchase all DLC- thing is fine, but pre-ordering DLC is a whole new level of stupid and asking is a whole new level of greedy.

Film it for me will you sweetie? I wanna see how long it takes you to hurl.

Generally shouldn't buy pre-built PCs. You spend like 30% more money than if you just bought the parts yourself, and with the sole exception of CPU mounting putting together a PC is literally just snapping a few parts together like lego bricks. and screwing the mobo in place.

Only if Steam has some form of actual quality control before games can be approved. If they don't you're still going to be buried in a sea of garbage, it will just rise more slowly.

It can't hurt though.

So people don't like me asking questions? That's cool. (And by "that's cool" I mean "those people are ****ing stupid and doing exactly the same thing they bitch at SJWs for.)

I'd take a 1080p game at 60 FPS over a 4k or 1800p or 600p or 1440p game at 30fps any day. For something like Xcom 30fps might be ok, but Fallout 4 is an action game and 30fps feels like playing while wading though maple syrup.

I love how people disagree with a question.

Do you like cake?

I DISAGREE!!

You wanted a choppy and unresponsive game when you could have had a game that was smooth and responsive?

3329d ago 4 agree18 disagreeView comment

Depends on the game actually. Being able to pause Souls games would be a very big deal. It would mess with online, it would mess with the atmosphere, it would interrupt the flow of gameplay. The Division is an MMO, obviously you can't pause, it's an MMO. Real time strategy games are another one, if you can pause it then it isn't really real time as you can pause to consider your options before you do anything.

Shockingly, not every feature (even the most basic ...

"All the RPG elements come together beautifully"

Yeah, all 2 of them. If you wanna like Skyrim, like Skyrim, I like Skyrim (despite it's mountains of problems) just don't pretend it's an RPG. It's an open world action game where nothing you do is of any consequence except maybe the guards change uniforms.

If people say "you can't tell the difference" then yeah, they're wrong. I can.

No, I don't actually. I know what native 4k looks like, I know what isn't being rendered at native 4k. I don't need a side by side comparison to be able to see it.

The reality is also that a 1080p or a 1440p image with all the effects maxed out looks better than an 1800p or a 4k image that has effects turned down (and plays at half the framerate,...

I hate comments like this because they are used to dismiss the fact that the claim being made in the article is factually incorrect and people can not only see the difference, but tell you exactly what the difference is.

If you can't tell, good for you. We can.
