Impressive it might be but it's an odd response to a market that's drastically changed since the first PSP.
Homefront seems to be going for the highly scripted Call of Duty brand of singleplayer. None of the footage suggests there's much in the way of sandbox shootouts. You aim down the barrel and shoot until you trigger the next cutscene. And that's fine as long as the scripting isn't too obvious and the story is worth seeing through.
