100%.
One of the best marriages of narrative and score in a video game of all time.
I enjoyed the fact I could fine-tune the racing and AI to my skill level to keep it interesting as I git gud. But it can be a small pain in the bum finding the right spot.
It's just good business to try offer an alternative to popular titles not available on your platform.
Xbox made Forza to counter Gran Turismo.
Sonic was Sega's big mascot platformer to take on Mario.
Raze was Sony's Halo.
Not all work but some really, really do.
"It's me. Hi.
I'm the the person the PlayStation Portal is being made for, it's me."
Fixed.
Spider-Man Miles Morales in Fidelity Mode was a 9th-gen. spectacle in the early days
Ratchet and Clank looks incredible.
Spider-Man 2 will definitely step it up a bit as well.
I think it looks pretty good in most places.
It helped up the rendering resolution and allowed for display of 4K and HDR in quite a few titles though. I think there was a 'turbo' mode that smoothed out games as well. PS4 Pro was a great upgrade, worth it in my opinion.
If it was the same price or only slightly more expensive, I would consider trading in the OG PS5. But I would probably be more interested in just the Slim model, or if the Pro was a bit smaller than the OG.
A bit like how Xbox One X was quite a svelte piece of kit compared to the 1980s VCR of OG Xbox One as well as able for 4K and HDR.
@anast also I was kind of hoping Psycho Mantis would read my card, see my PES save files and say "You're a sad bastard, aren't you?"
But alas, he doesn't.
@Anast MGS is such a classic. I played it to death back in the day and beat it a few times recently.
I never had a DualShock back in the day so it was cool to FINALLY see the controller walk under Psycho Mantis' control. I also loved being able to easily walk quietly instead of the tapa tapa tapa on the D-pad 😎
Me too!
I have an OG model and a PS One.
Of all the classic games on it, I end up playing PES 2 and F1 97 most though 🤣
Do you mean you have a PC and the will to emulate??
Or legit have 1,400 retro games??
Both are cool, I approve😎
I laughed aloud at this comment.
Thanks, kindly N4G user, I will pray for you in some church on a far-flung planet :-P
I really like how setting your own limitations brings out another level of creativity in people. The book Gadsby and that lad who completed Dark Souls with a set of drums from Rock Band are good examples. I also enjoy the expression (or more often, simply witnessing) of that level of mastery.
A game I can say I do this in is PES - I do Youth-Only, Homegrown, no transfer fee etc. challenges with dogpoo teams in Master League. I don't even stream, I just like it.
@Yi-Long Definitely true re the worst possible choices being made for the opener of Watch Dogs 2. I did enjoy WD2 overall but that intro is baffling :-D
I'm not a dentist but I believe that's averages out at around 150 copies for every platform the game has appeared on.
Watch Dogs 2 is a decent game but not really a classic. The opening is awful though. You got that right.
I loved the RDR 2 opening hours the first time but going back to restart it is where the rub lies for me.
I think they all be for sale separately eventually.
I hope so, I already own R4 on PS3/PSP so I won't have to pay for it again.
That's only Chris has taste.
Boltgun is as refreshing as a fizzy slushy enema.
100%.
And some of the visuals and moments of gameplay wouldn't have landed as well without the soundtrack to go with it.
