Ps3 dead because of one game what are you on. Big as this game is lets see what sony have to say. While ms is trying so hard to copy where sony's been not where it or the industry is going, lets hope they don't take one eye off the future.

not as long as my internet connection is still crap (they say 8Mb but its more like 5.6Mb) And as long as I still feel the urge to play the media on another machine where streaming is not available.
You would have thought the numbers would decrease before a big release like mgs4.
I see a price drop just before killzone or Christmas. That should make things interesting. I think many people are holding out for a £150-£200
mark. Wasn't the ps2 at the ps3's current price when it first came out and it's sales started slowly albeit with hardly any games.

We will have to wait and see what far cry 2 looks like I suppose to give us an idea of what it could look like but if this (link) is anything to go by it should look good. He says the trade off they had when making FarCry 2 was with regards to resolution due to memory size but they don't output that high anyway.
Has anyone considered the folowing:
First you have an operating system; now xp uses allot of ram vista uses more. Consoles have barely any.
PC's have to do more than play games (video mp3 decompression etc) therefore they are not optimized for games.
PS3 has less ram but its faster, it has more cores. The architecture will have been optimized for gaming.

It depends what they are doing with it at the moment. If they're just tarting it up then I agree with you. But if they're dealing with some of the functional issues then a delay is good. Because this has so much hype it has to be bang on from the get go. If it were perceived by many as a flawed and unreliable product then that kind of negative press could be hard to turn around and allot of money is wasted. Even if the concept is superb.
how about game development for a start. They don't just make the console they make the games too. Advertising depending on whether thy separate it for each division of the company, how much is home costing? they also make money from games. The point is it's very hard to tell how many different things they have spent money on and this guy is certainly wrong, because he assumes sony just make hardware.
How hard would it be to change the voice acting. I certainly think it could have been done if this was an old build.
