Hardcore PC gamers are going to be more willing to lay down this a amount of cash I think. It's a tough ask to get console gamers to pay the same. Sony should release on pc too. Is it classed as an accessory, if so it would be the most expensive gaming accessory I've ever baught.
Why don't you nuke them again while your at it. The Xenophobia is strong with this one. Being American makes no difference, them being Japanese is obviously a problem for you though.

Just installed, and things seem even smoother than before. This interface is seriously fast now, just need to organise my games easier.
Its not rose tinted glasses when I say if you build on crap you get crap. Continuous improvement of existing features is as important as new ones.
I have great respect for Nintendo handhelds, hey they must be doing something right. But the Vita deserves respect too, it has allot off great games now. They don't have to be AAA, allot of indie games are well suited to the Vita and this is an area where Sony is getting it right. The great thing about the Vita is that it can do the AAA game but it can do just about any other game also. When the time is right this console should get a relaunch.
RosweeSon, The issue is the performance increase which leaves owners of the other model, also named 3DS, out in the cold. This is not just cutting manufacturing costs its a new console.
Scenario:
Parent walks into shop and buys game for 3DS
Parent finds out after purchase that game requires the new new new 3DS.
Parent is pissed.
It needs a new name, put super or advanced on the front.
Lennox when you stream a video it has frames. When you stream a game it has frames. When you play video you can choose a video which plays at 24 fps. How is this not streaming.
@death you are correct you could use this with cloud compute but this research addresses streaming.
This is streaming not offloading tasks. I'm not writing it off because game streaming is already been proven on a production product. The prediction aspect of the research is very interesting.
Nice to see Microsoft finally getting round to game streaming. More competition is always welcome. The input prediction seems quite comprehensive, it will be interesting to see where the research takes them and how it compares to the other offerings.
