It's the waiting that's the hardest part :-)
run while you still can
“we’ve found that the format in which we’ve attempted to visualize our progress linearly does not match the approach we’re taking in the development of Squadron 42" hahaha priceless.
Whats the law around this sort of thing can anyone tell me? Can they get refunds? They were promised a product that is 4 years late, i get pissy when my amazon delivery is a day late.
It's in Japanese, can you read Japanese? If you're just going by the pictures I would keep an open mind instead of getting defensive.
At some point they will hit critical mass. Thats the point where the flat fee they are paying publishers for their content will be less than the money that make from subscriptions and other bolt ons. To do this i think they need to move into emerging markets, Africa etc...
Publishers get greedy though and at some point it will have several competing services resulting in the user paying for multiple subscriptions to access all the games they want. Much like the tv streamin...
I knew it, fxcking A!
Looks nice though
Can thank doom eternal for the grappling hook. Doesn't look as fun as doom is though.
"Much of the action plays out at 30 frames per second". How much though? 60% could be considered much. It's called choosing your words carefully so that you don't sound overly negative. In the more frantic encounters I need the frame rate to be rock solid, it can't provide that and I find it unprofessional to recommend the game in that state. Saying oh but where else can you play it this well on a portable is apologising for the platforms weaknesses. Because ultimately i...
I thought he was channeling Phil Spencer when he said that actually
Yes i read it, the precise moments you don't want frame rate drops it tanks. Stop defending poor performance. Digital foundry provide apologies for it by saying, well when you're doing fxck all its fine, so thats ok
Yes a handheld really can run Crysis ... Poorly. Forget the technical achievement for a second and ask yourself do I want to play this with frame pacing issues and drops bellow 20fps. I didn't last gen and I don't now. Digital foundry get too hung up on the technical achievement to get it running and gloss over to he fact that it runs like ass. You wouldn't want to play it this way even if it does allow you to do so whilst taking a dump at the same time.
How much did it cost in 2016?
I don't think PC hardware market is expensive because of the niche label. I think it's inherently more expensive and that's why it has the label. If Nvidia had more competition in the PC space that would change (hopefully soon with AMDs resurgence).
As far Indies, they aren't pushing the technical limits though are they. The original poster was talking about being held back technically.
And no they wouldn't stop gaming, that's not the poin...
When Crysis released hardly anything could run it. From a business point of view that's shooting yourself in the foot. It's no wonder crytek are in the state they are. The new consoles will provide a baseline which will scale based on the capabilities of your PC. Consoles are more accessible and whether you like it or not generate the most revenue, but because competition is so fierce they push the boundaries with what they have. This is why death stranding, originally a PS4 exclusive...
I have no issue with reconstruction. I'll be playing it at 60fps for sure
I think the quality mode will be native 4k and the 60fps mode will be reconstructed 4k.
Sure with loading screens when moving between worlds. Kinda puts a crimp on the developers vision though. Maybe in 3 years when the sort of IO required is more mainstream.
:-)
