Frequencies mean jack if you're not doing anything with it. The assumption is made that games wont use the entire APU at the same time, it's just not a common profile of Games. This allows you to adjust clock without impacting performance since those extra cycles be it on the CPU or the GPU were just going to waste anyway.

@Chris12 Because you have to build tolerances in for all cooling solutions. Otherwise you end up with RROD size scandals. And no it wont be relative to heat, its relative to power. If the ambient temperature goes up the fans will go up until eventually (When super hot) it will turn off for safety reasons.

Its also not just the maximum speed of the SSD that needs to be considered it's the latency too. You can put an SSD in a pc that has 100x the read speed but you get maybe 5x the benefit over the HDD because of the other bottlenecks.
Dev actually says CPU -> SSD -> GPU. Title CPU not SSD for the clicks (Its not wrong but its disingenuous ). Its a story thats been submitted before and some time ago so i'm not sure what that means for the reporting system on this site.

For Digital Foundry this is a wet dream. For me i would have preferred a remake on the next gen consoles. This game is extremely taxing on CPUs and none of the current gen consoles have good CPUs, hopefully they at least port it to a more recent version of the CryEngine.
Except this has been out for a while now. So when people are discussing the next PlayStation "exclusive" wont it still be exclusive since it wont be on PC at release. Maybe you will say it's timed exclusive since your going to assume this means all games will eventually come to PC. Or maybe you will you know rise above it, otherwise you are a truly fxcking sad individual.
