How about an Assassin's Creed game set in the Splinter Cell universe. I think the stealth/assassin dynamic would be perfect!
Embrace VR. As it grows in popularity on PC and PS4 and the tech improves, if Microsoft doesn't dive in, they will be left behind. Hell, even Nintendo is toying with it with Labo.
Awesome, me too! I wonder if the full game would be $30 or $60? Seems crazy if it’s $30 because of the amount they’ve invested in development.
I think XB2 will be an absolute beast. Unfortunately, it will be too expensive because Microsoft is too focused on GaaS and Clouds. They don’t care about selling consoles anymore. They just want you paying into their services every month. Quality AAA games are far down the list of priorities, despite their recent studio purchases. We will continue to get mediocre to poor games from their studios at breakneck speed.
I think Mcrosoft can do better next gen, but they cannot win. That would take WAY to many factors to go right for them: (1) Sony has to drop the ball consistently, meaning: no or few quality exclusives, too expensive hardware, lack of innovation, not sell into the foreign territories that Microsoft does little to no business, disappoint their fanbase by adopting terrible policies, no backwards compatibility, drop support for VR, etc. (2) Microsoft has to do all of the following right: more/be...
Both great games. Spider-man is over 9 million copies and Smash is over 2.5. So, even though I’m sure it will outsell Spider-man, I wouldn’t say it’s “smashed” it quite yet.
I think the high price of the PS3 also helped PS2 sales into the following generation. I don’t see that happening this time around. Unless they launch the PS5 at a high price and/or require new games all be PS4 compatible.
Good picks! However, I’d give VR game of the year to Astro Bot, but Beat Saber is a great game too, just not nearly as revolutionary as Astro Bot.
I adore this game.
Ape Escape VR
You just have to rely on websites or users you trust. For me, that’s Easy Allies, ACG, Destructoid and a few others.
Can’t argue with this list. 3 of the 5 are from Microsoft-owned studios. And games media keeps reporting the future looks belongs to Microsoft. Yah, okay!
I’m gonna bet this is very common for most AAA game devs. And if you have a problem with this, and you should, stop bitching when games are delayed.
Amen. And the fact this game is intentionally grindy in order to entice gamers to purchase EXP boosts.
Been seeing these articles for a while now. It’s got me wondering, do games ever leave PSNow?
Ubisoft take note.
Get woke, go broke.
Articles like this is why I get my video game news elsewhere. Kotaku and Polygon are garbage SJW BS and have to inject their politics into everything.
I’m as happy as the next guy for a positive review for this game. However, this site is garbage. Releasing their “review” 3 hours before the embargo lifts to try to get clicks is a shitty practice.
2017 vs. 2018 is pretty close. Regardless, it's a great time to be a gamer!
Great news for PC players. Microsoft just ended the only reason to buy their console.
