I probably buy digital and physical equally. Usually buy the bigger games physically and the Indies digitally. I love sharing/trading with my friends and even though renting isn't much of a thing anymore, digital is so limiting.
As great as Gamepass and PSNow might be, if they completely take over, consumers won't get these opportunities anymore. I'm so glad that many other gamers feel the same way. Hopefully digital and physical will coexist for years to come....
Truth! People tend to forget this convo happens every. single. time. we start a new gen. And compared to the others, the PS5 possibly had the best launch lineup and first year releases in history.
I was confused at first as to why they stated 2021 in the reveal teaser a year ago. However, perhaps they decided after the reveal to make only one more game in this mythology instead of 3 and that pushed the game out another 2 years. Makes sense because they did say to expect a 40+ hour game. GOW 2018 is only 25+ hours.
The title to this article is misleading. These are games they hope to see, not games they hope are announced. Most of the games they list are already announced.
I <3 you, ND, but please make fun, lighthearted games again. Seems they have a tendency to take a franchise and slowly turn it darker. Jak, Uncharted, TLOU all did this. There's no denying their talent, hell, I'd say they might be the most talented developer around, but their games are getting more and more depressing. I wish they would branch out and try some fresh new things like Insomniac has.
Dang, no VRR or 1440p toggle.
Realize this. It's about the journey, not the destination. These types of games are not linear and not even necessarily about reaching the end. They're about learning, improving, experimenting until you know exactly what works to help you succeed. If you've played Dead Cells, Hades, Isaac, etc. you know this and you will welcome the difficulty.
Buy the game people. Vote with your wallet and support these devs!
Common misconception:
You don't need an HDMI 2.1 TV to run 120 FPS/1080p.
You DO need HDMI 2.1 to run 120 FPS/4K, which few to no games can actually produce.
A 120Hz 2.0 HDMI panel can run this game perfectly fine at 120 FPS. My 2018 Samsung Q8FN can.
So, I don't know where I saw it, but I think Selene is played by Karen Gillan (Dr. Who, Nebula, Jumanji). I definitely see the resemblance although Selene is modeled to be older. Does anyone find it odd that Housemarque hasn't revealed the actress? Are they prepping some big reveal or something?
Let me fix that headline:
Resident Evil Village PS5 File Size Rumored ALMOST HALF THE SIZE of the Xbox Version
Nice! I guess this means a Days Gone 2 announcement is forthcoming.
Same here. I wish they would have done a State of Play to reveal this, but excited none-the-less!
Yup. Free until April 5.
It's an online game, so why would you buy if you need Plus to play it anyway?
I will pay my child's college fund for a Sweettooth character unlock. lol
Holy crap, that's a good lineup.
Except when you eventually have to renew, you're paying double the price. So this will eventually have an impact on you unless you somehow have a lifetime subscription. Also, if you want to play any non-gamepass games online, you will have to get XLG
XSX - 2160P (4K), very stable 60FPS, High shadow quality
XSS - 1080P, very stable 60FPS, Low shadow quality
PS5 - 1800P, flawless 60FPS, Medium shadow quality, slightly faster load times
It must be noted the shadow quality difference is not very significant. The frame drops for XS consoles only happened on rare occasions or when is specific areas. PS5 didn't drop at all in these areas. They also referred to this as a cross-gen game, which it is. I'...
Edit, I meant to say NO/then YES. :)
YES! If we keep getting quality ones like Shadow of the Colossus, FFVII Remake, RE2/3, Demon's Souls, Ratchet & Clank, Crash and Spyro.
NO! if we get crappy cash-ins like GTA and Skyrim.
