The Funny thing is people are hating on this game for no reason, I can understand certain people who are angry that they can't get on. But one review I read said "this is the worst first person shooter I have ever played". I'm really enjoying it, I've been lucky enough not to experience any issues at all but can image the frustration if you are.
Nah, alot of the assets are on their side. I believe this also helps stop piracy as the only way to get the game working with crack would be to get private servers and that's going to take a while. And in that time quite a few pirates will give in and buy. Randomizing is done on their side, but you don't need them to do it, its just another reason they want you to connect to them. Unfortunately I can see future PC games doing this sort of system (not Ubisoft kind of always on internet...
Hopefully maintenance means more servers then.
Your characters are saved to a specific region server so you can either start again on Asia server. Or continue from the European server. Hope it gets sorted for everyone as it is a great game.

Im wondering if it depends on the server. Because The Europe servers (that Ive been on) seem better as a lot less people are being disconnected. In fact I havnt been disconnected or had trouble logging in, in the couple of hours ive played. I think the main problem was an 1 hour or 2 after it launched.
It's already cleared up, I think they have activated more servers as many people are getting on. Still some issues but a lot better than when it had just launched.
Diablo is a game that needs to be played not watched, it's not like uncharted where its like a movie and even the viewer has fun. Its about the feel of the game. No wonder it doesnt seem interesting try get a free pass from someone to try it out (thats how you really see if you like it or not).
I think it sold because the game had a fun demo. Many people including myself bought it despite the reviews.
You need the expansion as well. Check out the rest of his dayz ahead videos they are all pretty good. I ended up sitting for over an 1hour last month watching them.
Ye its been really big on Neogaf, been following it a while. I was wondering when articles were going to hit n4g on it.

Apparently the first DLC includes over one hundred side quests. Sad if that should have been included in the game.

I have an exam the day after, guess no studying will be done on the 15th.
One of the main issues with the game is the combat and some graphical glitches, but the latest patch has vastly improved all of that, you can now block animal attacks. You can dodge no matter what your doing. tree growing is a lot better (although you can get mods which stop it happening anyway). Shadow flickering has been fixed etc...
Wish they had managed to give the patch out before reviews came out, as it has definitely hurt peoples perceptions of it.
I enjoy commentaries and would really love it if more games included it. I usually play a game twice if it is included. I love hearing secrets behind games and just the development process or funny things that happened while building a game. Valve does this part of it the best.
I really love it, addicting as hell. And some good fun which is what matters to me. Although I must admit I didn't experience any of the problems that many others seemed to experience which probably helped me enjoy it more.
