Rockstar Vancouver was the main developer(the other rockstar studios include New England,London,Toronto)- Rockstar north has nothing to do with this game, they are working on GTA 5 (and agent).
Did you read?
It mentions day one sales don't include the pass but I assume overall sales inlude it 1.2 million.
Awesome numbers, wonder how many it would have sold if it was cracked before launch.
I suppose if the online DRM is having an impact then you would have a different view of the game. I however have had no real issues, whenever I log on it seems to be fine so I would agree with them on the score.
"I've been holding out for the PC version as well even though I own a 360/PS3."
Yup I have done the same thing as you.Doing the same for ghost recon as well.
I'm looking forward to grim dawn from some of the titan quest guys. Only thing that I don't like in TL2 is that there is no ragdoll, diablo 3/titan quest really pull that off making you feel good when you smack a guy across a field.
Don't know why you got a disagree but if you download a battlenet authenticator off your phone then you can have it for free, thats what I did last night.
Ghost- could have been a good action game
8 days- looked good after that e3 trailer
This is Vegas- seemed like this was about to launch?
That BC game my molyneux
Indiana Jones- using that euphoria, had good concept videos
Coded arms- looked fresh
heck even Pirates of the Caribbean: Armada of the Damned looked better than I thought a movie game would look.
Neogaf has quite a few people playing it, plus many stores overseas have shipped it early, including Capcoms own store.
Maybe your right, it just seems like when there's controversy with some game score, then Jims involved and because of that he sticks in my mind- infact I don't know any of the other reviewers names from the site.
Nice score, cant wait to buy it. Just a question: does Jim own Destrucoid? because 90% of the big games get reviewed by him. I would hate to be one of the other reviewers who gets sent the rest of the games which he probably isn't interested in.
To be honest I think this game has done the opposite of what the article says. I can already see publishers going wow it's been a week and still no crack ("technology which is supposed to protect games against illegal copying is cracked within hours of the release" it has been days and this statement hasn't happened yet. Publishers are probably thinking maybe it will be better if we sort out servers from day 1 and learn from Blizzards mistake. Because hey a week even a month...
I actually find the builds they give have more diversity than diablo 2 as you get to decide what powers and ruins you like the best. Everyone would research where to put their points and would end up with very similar builds in diablo 2, and if you clicked the wrong thing then you would restart-20 points into the same 4 skills and that was it. My barbarian in Diablo 2 would be very similar to your by the end, whereas diablo 3 will have completely different builds thanks to ruins/jems. Also I&...
Irrational didn't make bioshock 2, it was 2k Marin who did. Irrational has been working on this latest one since the first game. And to be honest I didn't find anything weird about the second games graphics.
They have already announced first DlC has 100 missions.
"One such title is Dragon’s Dogma, where the decision to include some additional (but not all planned additional) game content for the game on disc was made at the beginning of the game’s development cycle as at the time this was determined to be the most efficient way of ensuring certain content was made available. Owners of Dragon’s Dogma will be able to further their gameplay experience with the release of additi...
I'm from South Africa connecting to the Europe servers, and have been lag free in fact never been disconnected.
"There will be a crack. There will be private servers"
No doubt, but remember these will have to be self supported servers that don't hold as many people as Blizzards, there will be quite a few bugs. Look at WoW and it's private servers, feels really bad compared to official servers. Plus it takes longer to crack games which might be all that developers need to hear, a few months of no copied game could be a lot of extra sales.
Don't see why not, diablo 2 released a patch that let you play without a CD, whose to say that if they decide to shut down the servers they wont release a 2 gig offline patch.
Yes, I don't like it, but I can definitely see it being the future, as the game is still not cracked (not to say it wont be in the future)and that will most likely persuade many pirates who cant wait to purchase it. It brings me back to when steam was first introduced, there was problems until people just accepted it.
It mentions day one sales don't include the pass-1.2 million was the amount the annual pass sold, which out of 10million isn't a lot.
SC2 sold 4.5 million in 6 months so even if you took away the pass it still beats it in a week.
