I agree, i don't like halo - i thought the last two have been very average, however i have listed many things in the past that halo brought to the console gaming industry.
I don't see how that was relevant though, what i said originally wasn't bagging on the xbox or halo at all.

I'm sure of kojima productions put forward to sony that they wanted to make the next MGS a PS3 exclusive, sony would help them out with that too - like they did with MGS4.
Kojima said they had lots of support from sony on the actual development of the game, so i'd imagine they would do the same if they needed it in return for exclusivity.
I'd much prefer the PS3 to keep MGS as an exclusive (Both 4 and possibly the next one) but if it goes to the xbox, then fair enough - but i'd still buy it on my PS3 instead of 360.
thegood33, actually.. i never actually can see any difference between players in terms of skill level. The game doesn't require skill at all.
I don't even turn my computer off ;)

Seriously, i knew people at college who didn't have a clue what killzone 2 was.
It is still apparently on around 1.5 - 1.7m. Which is actually good.
Sony was sony long before god of war, it is an amazing franchise, it is one of their best franchises in my opinion. However, for sony - i'd imagine their most popular franchise is gran turismo since after all, it is not only one of the most sucessful franchises of all time, but is actually sony's most sucessful.
Kojima is so popular because of his great games that also appeal to the western audiences!
Now, for that to happen with this guy's games - they have to actually bring them over here, all the older yakuza games taken forever to get into the western countries and it is looking like this one will too.
I don't agree with the comment of milking the halo franchise, but i can see them doing it.
But even thinking this title is being milked is rather silly, if they shoved the franchise off to someone else and the quality kept dropping with every release but they kept putting them out because they are selling well - then you could say they were milking it.
However, the quality has been just as good through the franchise.
Yeah... sony are going to let that happen.

Both will be perfectly fine.
The PS3's GPU has just as much raw processing power as the 360's, it is just the extra little features on the 360's that gives it that slight upper hand, but none of those features would aid in such a thing.
Both consoles will be perfectly capable of handling this, and many more games to come.
We won't see either console hit their limit for a very, very long while.
ODST is a new game, just it is in the halo 3 universe. It'll be released on disc.

I don't want to sound like a fanboy because i too paid money for my 360 and i don't want it to go to waste.

But sony is twice the size of microsoft ^^.
They have reason to worry, they know sony is capable of dominating so they want to make sure they keep them low. Microsoft will take big hits just to do this.
So of course microsoft is scared of sony, sony should of been scared of microsoft at the start of this generation too, maybe they wouldn't of dropped the ball at launch as badly as they did if they didn't underestimate microsoft and overestimate their fanbase.
