Don't be silly guys.
PC Gaming isn't dead, and PC Gaming isn't entirely better than console gaming. I love my consoles, but i'm also very much a PC gamer. I know the merits both have, the PC:
Better graphics
Mods
Cheaper games
Generally better online communities (An opinion)
Better performance
Better control options
No-walled garden
But ultimately, the console has a massive trump...
I'm not a big crysis fan, i adored playing around in the engine and consistently being blown away by it - but as a game, it wasn't all that exciting for me. So while I hope it is a better game this time around, I'm also hoping they don't scale back such support on the PC version this time around - because much of the fun in crysis was messing around with the engine.
The Sims and Starcraft are completely different. I'm not sure how you can even compare the two? Have you played Starcraft II?
It isn't enough to just say the PS3 can support keyboard and mouse, you have to persuade Sony to have that control method the ONLY control method, otherwise you have to change the game design to cater for the limiting control pad.
Look at Halo Wars for example, you know I actually enjoyed it quite a bit, was well done. However, it was a "My first FPS" experience, it was good for what it was, but it shows there is a clear gap.
I don't think people are saying that at all. It is more of a "It isn't that bad then" for those that can't play the original.
Cerberus network will be there simply because it is just a disguised EA anti-used market component.
As someone who played the original Mass effect, but for various reasons couldn't be bothered to see it through to the end, I don't believe you need to play the first at all. I went on to enjoy Mass effect 2 loads and it is one of my favourite games I've ever played.
You'll get extra from playing the first, but it is far from essential. If you want, go watch the cutscenes and important dialogue scenes on youtube, but other than that - it isn't much of a pro...
I rented the 360 version and bought the PC version, I found the PC version much more playable.
It wasn't ever exclusive. Mass effect 2 Launched as a multiplatform game.
Good news for PS3 only owners, the game is absolutely brilliant. I only tried the demo on my 360, but completed it (two and a half times) on PC.
It isn't free roam. It isn't that type of game. It is a racing game.
Piracy can't be justified regardless of your reasons (ie, too expensive).
When i said piracy, I mean just pirating the games and not buying it. I can understand people downloading it for a demo.
Nah, the online in the practice online games (you're given 50, or you can skip) is a great place to start and the placement in ranks after that is usually fairly accurate.
I've found myself building up a large base with capabilities of pumping out loads of offensive and defensive units, but not having enough time to produce much and then getting rushed, but now - the first thing I do is build loads of bunkers, assign SCVs to them to repair and that usually holds em off long enough for me to get a proper army built up.
4od is a probable, but the BBC may be difficult. I don't think BBC would agree to having it only accessible to Gold members, which MS may not be happy with - hence the reason there has been no talk of it.
I didn't buy my Macbook Pro for gaming, I have my PC for that - but it runs perfectly fine for me. I have the 2010 i7 GT330M model.
The PS3 market share has been growing and gaining on their main competitor the Xbox 360, since launch. The 360 started off with a 12 million headstart, it is now down to 4 - 5.5m.
I can understand why Sony is on there, but that decline has been a combination of things over a few years. The PlayStation has had a massive boost from 2009 and 2010, so it isn't anything to do with that - it is years of misguided "we're sony, we'll do it anyway" type attitude that had them mis-stepping in many places in the market, it caught up with them in recent years and they had to do a restructure to find their way again.
They are one of the bigges...
I only need one to not buy it:
The lack of decent games.
I'm talking about the Move starter pack, which includes the camera, a controller and the starter disc.
Its £30 if you want the controller alone, without the Eye or the starter disc. So yeah, the entry price could be touted at £30 I suppose for those who already have an Eye and don't want the starter disc.
This is getting silly. Microsoft didn't own exclusive rights to publish Mass Effect.
Bioware made that deal while they were still independent, of course they needed a publisher - but shortly after EA bought Bioware - but obviously the deal was already done, so Microsoft went on to publish Mass Effect on 360 once it had been developed.
EA then went on to publish the PC version, and could go and publish the PS3 version too. The reason they're probably n...
