Framerate is determined server side, it'll be input lag and overall latency that'll be the primary issue.

£650 for a PC that wipes the floor with what a PS3 can afford in terms of performance. And i could go cheaper than that, if you want me to?
I think you underestimate the older PC hardware, which has been out for the same time as the PS3, which out performs it. You don't need an extreme PC to outperform a PS3, you don't even need a very high end machine to outperform a PS3, a £500 - £600 PC would.
There are more PC's out there that are more powerful than the PS3, much more.
Like i'll keep on saying, i love my consoles, but when i'm playing games like Uncharted 2 and Killzone 2, i'm constantly thinking to myself that i wish these were PC games, because i could run them with much higher AA and at higher resolutions to make them look even better.
I think this is one of the more sensible posts, because i think that could be a valid complaint for some people. I don't find it as any problem, but more so of a plus, more options!
But i really understand why some people don't like it.
Like said above, the 8800GTX is quite an old card now and easily outperforms the consoles.
You lot need to get off this whole thing about PC's _NEEDING_ upgrades every year or so, because they don't. They really don't. Just because there are always new cards coming out, doesn't mean you have to upgrade to them or that older cards become obsolete.
As for the article, its true, the consoles are cool for the first two or three years.. then the PC's pull ahead with MORE ...

No? Why not? People are allowed call it 360 exclusive...along with other games on the PC/360 release model.
Yeah, GTAIV is one of the worst examples of a bad console port, but its still miles better on PC visually and performance wise. Everything is so much cleaner, running at well over double the console FPS, and some decent AA!
I'm actually a fan of GTA though.. own all three versions.. (got PC version a few months back).

If its true (doubt it is), then it will be a real shame for the world of technology.
Everyone knows true parallel processing is the future, but as everyone always says, its hard to get people to adapt to it. With companies like sony almost forcing people to adapt, then it could speed up the process of people accepting it.

Not much interested me in this one, apart from Red faction. Already played RE5 on console, own the Battlefield 2 collection, tried King's bounty, didn't like it and the other two don't seem like much.
Though, during this sale, i've bought, Left 4 dead 2, Indigo prohpecy, Mirrors edge and i'm extremely tempted by Borderlands.. i'll see what today's sale brings.
I'd buy Natal just for that, Geometry wars is one of my favourite arcade games on the 360.
