If the majority of games is mediocre on PS4, the same holds true for X1 (since their lineup is about 80% the same (and according to mathematics, most of that 20% gap are PS4 games).
Only difference is that the same game on X1 is usually a bit more "mediocre" than the PS4 version (in most cases). Not to mention PS4 has MORE games and a higher metacritic average on their games.
So I guess a man requires even MORE patience to be gaming exclusively on X...

But this isn't a community for PS4 fans, it's a community for N4G that happens to be on Playstation (because the system instituted communities in the last update).

All the "AAA" titles offered on GWG were already on PS Plus (when they cost more at retail, no less).
So I guess they "trickled down" to Xbox, really.
edit/ In answer to your question, they don't seem to like to give low-rated games the Plus treatment. I mean, neither does GWG really - they haven't given Ryse or Crimson Dragon for free (horribly rated AAA launch games just like Knack).
It's also just because there were a plethora of AAA games to put up on PS Plus at the END of the PS3's lifecycle, obviously. The PS4 and X1 have been out a couple years only, so their game catalog is rather small comparatively.

Compared to Games With Gold? PS Plus already had those games. If anything, GWG would be more of a "rip-off" because it got these games later than PSPlus (the value of the games has decreased more since then).
Both services have had decent freebees. Most of them have been the same (although in different months)
