We went to the source for that claim it is a fraud. The source is a social media marketing expert, whose job is to socially engineer success. He has no proof bots were used, just proof the game doesn't fit his expectations.
Think about that for a minute. In this day and age were you can calculate a social game to be a success, no matter how crappy it is, Flappy Bird has destroyed all expectations.
Nintendo could repackage Wii U for emerging markets. It might be a model lacking many features (say, anything online), region locked, and unavailable in the US or other markets they're in now.
And, it might work.
My post was reported since I used the video from the Playstation Blog, when I was reporting that it was out for both systems. I don't care about PS4 vs Xbox One
Fixed, forget Xbox One then.
Why does this article exist?
LOL I just want to chime in that Dvorak is a notorious crank, but usually he has a more informed view of the tech world. This really reads like no better than any gaming site rant, but rest assured, Dvorak knows Microsoft better than any of us here.
Popcap looks like they could be next on the chopping block. Plants vs Zombies 2 did not monetize to the level it was expected to, and even with Peggle 2 and Garden warfare on the horizon, the company seems to be in a challenging spot now that only one of the founders is left.
Also likely is DICE over Battlefield 4, but you already knew that.
Turns out being bought by EA is a kiss of death for these developers, and you have to wonder if they regret selling the...
Anecdotally, I've been told that Xbox has been having problems as well. I wish we had a better idea how long these issues have been going on and why we haven't heard any official statements about them.
I approve this post for the sheer audacity of putting forward an opinion on a retro game few people will agree with :) Hey, I got convinced ET for the 2600 was genuinely ambitious, maybe you have a point too!
I also checked the source, and looked up other companies and how they rated it. You can disagree with the assessment, but MacroAxis' job isn't to keep gamers happy. It's to provide guidance to investors. Don't turn a blind eye to what these people have to say.
You don't want to hear about this? You don't think it's true? Well, you should read it anyway. This article is definitely not flamebait, and the data about Sony's decade long financial troubles is well documented and indisputable.
If it means anything, I found a forum post where all 100 points where in one place but couldn't figure out how to add it as an alternate source.
So what you're saying is, Christmas being good depends entirely on Nintendo. Playstation and Xbox don't count, only Nintendo can give gamers a good Christmas.
the games are cheaper, acquiring games is more convenient and hassle free, and the price - value proposition is better. mobile has also been upgrading at a more rapid pace than console, although admittedly, graphics aren't everything, and more importantly, consoles upgrade at a slower pace on purpose. But there you go.
What's good for Nintendo is good for Playstation (and Xbox, for that matter). You can't ignore that mobile intrudes into the same space as consoles and does some things better than it.
Also, it's silly to make it like Sony is pitted against smartphones, when smartphones made them more money than Playstation this year. Your next Playstation might be a smartphone or a tablet, remember that.
We appreciate the feedback guys. Title has been updated so it's much clearer.
No, Nintendo Let's Plays aren't being removed.
Again, to make things clear, this is not removing any Nintendo fan videos.
Please read the article before making sweeping generalizations. Youtube's content ID matcher penalizes videos Nintendo commissioned, because it's not a person looking into it. It's an algorithm. GameXplain, Nintendomination et al will get ID matched everytime, and Google has to sort it out later.
