They all look pretty hideous. The only one that I can see becoming anything near a real home console is the last one. No matter how cool some of them might appear at first, can you really see them in your tv stand?

This entire article is pure tripe fanboy flamebait. Even the title screams fanboy. I honestly wouldn't care so much if Microsoft wasn't charging you a fee just to access stuff you're already paying for anyway. They charge you to play on the internet though you are already paying your ISP. They charge you to use Netflix but you already pay the subscription fee. Facebook, Last.fm, and Twitter are all free services that they charge access fees for. People keep screaming about c...

Had to throw in the cross game chat in there, didn't you? Not that I care, but that is a hot ticket item that always baits fanboys of both camps.

Even though the writer of the article is not really picking a favorite, the article itself is pure fanboy bait. Just the pure existence of the article creates the stupidest articles known to man. I honestly can't really notice any graphical difference between playing both demos. I can say that if I had to choose which console I would purchase it on, I would most likely buy it on PS3 simply because it is only one disc compared to two on the 360. It's not that big of an inconvenienc...

I understand what you are saying and I love my PS3 but standalone Blu-Ray players are getting far cheaper. Not to mention the fact that I already have a PS3 so why spend that much money to get another one just to have a Blu-Ray player in my bedroom? My standalone Blu-ray player has Netflix, Pandora, Youtube, Amazon, and a bunch of other crap on it for like $140 and it also does firmware updates.

Scott Pilgrim vs. the World also alloys this as well.

They already announced that it would be free.

They are already greedy bastards. Cross game chat is free on the Xbox 360 with silver accounts.

Did I hurt a fanboy somewhere's feelings or something. Everything I said is proven fact except the last part about first party PS3 games (which are actually technologically superior as well BTW).

It is truly amazing how people still try to defend Microsoft and the Xbox to the point of fault. Look, people aren't just bashing the Xbox, it is all proven fact that the 360 was made like crap. That is not saying that the system is inferior (which it is BTW), that is saying that Microsoft cut corners manufacturing them and the failure rate is exponentially ridiculous. The problem is that people so blindly defend the 360 and retaliate on the PS3 because it doesn't crash like that. ...

I'm sorry but this whole "news article" is very pointless. It appears that people are searching for problems with the "infallible" PS3. I have all three systems and I can honestly say that I've had to repair my 360 three times and downright replace it once. I never had a problem with my PS3. I have seen people get the overheating error before and it DID shut the system down. I only know two people that have ever had a YLOD while I don't know one single per...

I don't think they would adopt Blu-Ray even then. They are too stubborn and have too much pride. I wouldn't be surprised if they even used their obsolete HD-DVD format for games.

People with slow connections would still be left out. What if someone wanted two games the size of a Blu-Ray (Uncharted 2 and God of War 3 for example)? It would take over a week just to download it with a decent connection. Also, you would be completely abandoning users with no internet connection.

Steam is a good example of Digital Downloads going well but I truly can't see that as viable in the next generation. With games at 40GB to download, I can't see that being very practical. Also, imagine that everyone that bought Halo Reach on day one had to download it. ISP's would be shut down for a day or two because they could not handle that load. Also, not many people use Steam compared to Xbox Live. There are far more console gamers than there are Steam users.

Halo might be longer, and it might not be. Size doesn't always equal length as we've seen with games such as Heavenly Sword. That's not saying that the game couldn't be better. It could be better looking, it could have better sound, it could have different languages, etc. But I just don't understand how people are such fanboys to ignore the facts and blindly follow Microsoft. Do people feel that it is a patriotic duty? It is clearly becoming more underpowered and obs...

Microsoft does not need Bluray but they definitely need to do something. I do not believe that DLC will fix their problem. And sales reflect that gamers still will buy the 360 and games but don't discount the fact that the 360 was released an entire year before the PS3, thus it has a larger install base. Some gamers simply didn't want to or couldn't pay for another system. Also, the price of the 360 is cheaper. Sales don't necessarily reflect a better product. Technologi...

While it's true that it is possible that it was influenced by God of War, it is unlikely. The previous Donkey Kong Country games had similar boss fights and mechanics before God of War was even a thought. I think this whole article is either the author trying to get hits for his/her site, or trying to over-examine similarities to their favorite games. I'm sure if I was to look hard enough I could find "influence" from Halo, Call of Duty, LittleBigPlanet, or any other game...
