Well, I wasn't including the DS games or Skylanders...
I don't recall anyone saying it was better. Everyone knows SSBB is awesome. That's why the other game is even coming out. People are only speculating things that could be done better and problems that they have with SSBB. How does that make a fanboy? You want to see a SSBB clone that is bad? Play Cartoon Network PTE.
Well, with the Final Fantasy characters, many will agree about Cloud and Sephiroth. But adding Squall is going to make people look for Zidane, Tidus, Jecht, Zack, etc. Crasn and Spyro are no longer PlayStation exclusive characters. As a matter of fact, the last few Crash games were only on 360 and so was the last Spyro.
But you are leaving out the fact that PSN+ gives free full games, not just discounts. I haven't seen many free XBL games except Hexic HD, and the stupid advertising games from Doritos and for the Yaris.
I personally get tired of the chatting. Sometimes, I'm deep into a single player game or watching something on Netflix or Hulu and someone decides they want to have a conversation. Also, I might be in the middle of an actual MP match and people want to have private conversations that take me away from the game.
As for the XBL vs PSN, I belive that if the PS3 came out first, Microsoft would have a harder time charging people for their service. A lot of people were cha...
They do but they don't separate it like XBL.
And that is a good deal compared to free?
How is the security thing BS? The subject there was security, not hacking. So, you're analogy about home security has flaws. PSN's issue would be compared to someone picking your lock or kicking your door down, right? So, how is this any different than the upscale way of tricking the conceirge into thinking you live there and opening the door and letting you in to rob the place like XBL? They are both holes in security and in my opinion, I feel far less secure with people getting...
What about Fear Effect?
I don't think you realize that they are not talking about online passes. They are saying that once you buy a game, it is DRM locked to that console. It can't be transferred or surrendered. So, in other words, if your console crashes, you are screwed. All games that you bought are lost. You certainly are not "looking at the big picture." Also, I don't understand what you mean by only one copy. You can buy as many copies as you can afford. If you lose one or it bec...
Well, what are you going to do when your console crashes? Buy all new games to go along with your replacement? Do you never take games to a friends house? Do you never rent or borrow? It AFFECTS us all when that happens. What about games with a 6 hour campaign and a weak multiplayer? You are forced to buy it brand new and then have no way to get rid of it. Look at the big picture before speaking...
@JBaby343,
You talk like people out here have money to throw away. There are tons of games that are worth playing but not owning. The way that this is set up doesn't allow you to rent or borrow these games either. It's not just killing the used market. I think that these developers should make a deal with the stores like Gamestop instead of punishing the consumer by locking out parts of the game they purchased.
It's not just the review. It's the score that's the problem. You can't honestly say there is nothing good about the game. I'd expect that kind of score from a user review, but not a "professional". A game has to be damn near unplayable to deserve a score that low.
I am almost completely sure it's better than a 3. I'm not saying it's good, but look up some of the worst games you've played on IGN and you'll see they have all got better scores except for Rogue Warrior which got a 1.5. Hell, they even gave Duke Nukem Forever a 5.5! Do you honestly think Ninja Gaiden 3 is worse than that??
The lowest I saw on metacritic was a 50 other than IGN. That at least sounds believable. I'm not saying the game is good or deserves a high score. But you can't seriously tell me it's the worst game this year. Maybe biggest disappointment, but not worst game. So, of course the metacritic score is very low. One score of 3 can greatly impact the average.
Well, Silent Hill was pretty bad but I'm still not sure if it deserves less than a 5. IGN is ridiculous. I'd expect this from a reader score but not a professional critic.
I agree. A 3? Really? So, this game is worse than Velvet Assassin, X-Blades, and Venetica? They all got better scores. Even Soldier of Fortune got a 6.1 and it was completely broken. I no longer trust IGN for reviews. They aren't fair. If they don't like something, they completely destroy it in their score. If you don't believe me, look at the score for El Shaddai. IGN gave it a 5 but everybody else gave it an 8 or above. Hell, download the demo if you haven't playe...
Yeah, and technically, Solid Snake isn't Sony exclusive either. Even before the release of the MGS HD Collection, MGS2 Substance was ported to Xbox.
Same thing with Dante. DMC4 was release on both systems. Let's keep this fair people!
While I agree that some might mention Battlefield as trolling, I do think that it has merit in this thread. The article said there was stiff competition. There was no more direct competition than Battlefield.
Personally, I would have been more surprised to hear that they WEREN'T sharing that information.
