I spent the whole yesterday playing it through. It's a gem! Enjoyable platforming, shooting, nice story and great, colorful graphics. If you're looking for a platformer with some shooting and puzzles, get Rochard. Very satisfactory purchase (and about 7 hours of gameplay).
Gamingbolt again [facepalm]
$500m of brainwashing seems to work.
I've played the beta quite a lot and haven't seen framedrops. I say gamersmint are liars.
Platforms get as much attention as there is money in that. It seems BFBC2 sold well on PS3 and EA has an agreement with Sony. You should redirect your claims to Microsoft and ask what they did with the money you spent on the system/games/Live (well, I know the answer, they invested it in Kinect).
This looks very much Battlefield :D
I wonder if it's just a promo or the music will actually be in game. I love it when games have songs in them.
Japanese people know.
I miss the good old days when people played games, not compared them.
Kicking unwanted people from squad, my dream come true!
Exactly the same thought crossed my mind. Never heard of him. I play with a Swedish cook though ;)
Most companies lie to me in ads, then take my money and find stupid excuses to cover up their inabilities to deliver. Sony thanks me for being their customer in a really nice way. I know, they've had their share of dirt but who doesn't? That's how you earn trust of your fans. 15 years with PlayStation brand and counting.
Obviously because you still get whisper advertising for Xbox brand and increase curiosity of potential customers.
I'm relieved to see that Angry Birds will be flying 7 times faster. It makes sense.
Now, we need an expert ornithologist to point out differences between the game and real birds.
A game for casuals with rewind feature versus a game for hardcore which can't be popular with the general crowd. Sure they are competitors... only in minds of the same people who compare COD and BF.
That's true. But if I compare the number of times when I had my console freeze and the number of times I had problems with getting a PC game to work, it's still console win by a magnitude.
PCs would need a game system, something similar to what consoles have. Stripped of all services you don't need while gaming, with reduced HAL and unlocked resources. Read what Carmack said about PC HAL and how they had to fight it. Quite interesting.
Very good review as it focuses on tiny details which make game a whole and a great experience or a failure like interface annoyances or size of the game world. I may not agree with Jim Sterling's reviews but that's what they're for: subjective opinions. At least he doesn't follow the low-standard madness of hype that plaques modern gaming journalism.
I don't need scores for games. I need information about what a game has to offer before I spend my money on...
That's one of main reasons I quit PC gaming. Bugs, bugs everywhere. Like the bottom of a rainforest.
I wonder why people want to turn PS3 into an Xbox with its features. If you love your Xbox, go play it.
I don't want x-chat and people cheating. I don't want everybody to have a cheap mic without noise cancellation. I don't want avatars and other childlish stuff in XMB. I don't need a browser in my console. My PC/netbook/phone is doing fine and will always be faster to use.
There are things I'd welcome in XMB (like quick reading of message...
You mean Shadow Complex? It is a bit similar. I was very positive after the demo but the full game got me bored after several chapters and I never finished it. Not the case with Rochard, you get some new feature of your gun every so with the progress, puzzles and enemies change too. IMO Rochard is much better.
