I mean, it's like having 'Sim's' environment for on-line social interaction............ FOR FREE! I swear critics don't even consider this level of polish at no price to PS3 owners, and what do the compeditors have, Mii and Mii knockoffs? It was a half-assed idea when Nintendo did it. Even the most hardcore fanboy had to have cringed when they saw those 'avatars'. I have an avatar here at NG4, I guess NG4 should charge us 50 dollars a month for using their site. Also, I keep reading about how...
First of all the author's claim that the PS3's fan is 'loud' is an utter lie. My PS3 is whisper quite and so are my friends. I smell a fraud.
...so I can give this game four thumbs down.
That is what Microsoft does. Have you seen Microsoft's new mii, I mean, avatars? I remember when Microsoft said HDMI is unnecessary, then BAM, they add it. Sony has GTA and FF series and then Microsoft whores out cash to be a 'me too' compeditor. No innovations, nothing new or innovative. Hell before Windows Microsoft had DOS and eventually made a knock-off of Apple's operating system. It wouldn't suprise me at all if they just out right stole the idea and called it BigLittlePlace with sackdu...
Looks like they are filling the void Ninja Gaiden is leaving.
You can also pre-order at Target, maybe more.
I'm going to reserve the regular copy. I try not to buy games that exceed the cost of my text books :D Though the collector's edition sound cool. The last 'collecters edition' I bought was Halo 2 and I traded that thing in 2 days after I bought and beat it.
So that 'nice' warrenty is quite limited.
Seems to me you can't tell if someone is giving you the shaft. So I bet you let anyone stomp on your face with a big boot, so long as they give you a good time :D
From what I have read the freezing is do to the recent update. My friend avoided going online with his PS3 and it never froze, but then as soon as he updated with that patch it freezes on Call of Duty 4 too. I've never had it freeze on my while playing any other game and only when there is some kind of problem with the connection.
But he is having problems with the disc reading. All 3 friends bought a 360 just months ago and one was an Elite(one the ones that broke). The one that isn't broken is actually modded to hell :D What baffles the mind is why Xbox 360 fans who've experienced this prob keep coming back. Some times I think the world is going insane. My PS3 freezes everyonce and a while while playing Call of Duty 4, and if my PS3 ever breaks I won't be buying another, and that's for real.
Reviewer merely offer their opinion on games. Most non-gamers who own a PS3/360 rather play a movie based video game or Madden. Anyway, do you like blowing stuff up? Do you like shooting at people and driving tanks? Well this game might be for you. I stopped relying on reviews after middle school. Rent the damn game, and have your own opinions.
once you do realize you 'want' those things then you're going to have to pay through the nose. Let's get real though, "Things you actually need", you don't NEED a video game console, so your entire argument is a mute point.
Microsoft said downloadable content is their focus for the Xbox 360, but how can that be when some 360 models have not HD to store this DL content, heck even the ones that do are not large enough. Also, Microsoft is planning to use more 'manditory ...
"At the end of the day its the games that matter"
Yes true, it is the games that matter. The problem with the Xbox 360 is that the same games are available for the PS3. On the other hand the PS3 has a wealth of new exclusive original IP's that are going to hit the PS3 soon. There are very little games that are exclusive to the 360 platform, so what are these games that are only available on the Xbox 360?
"and the 360 still has the best quality and ...
"Also people calculating the cost of XBL over years are stupid becaue its like saying do you intend to play games and how many then multiplying it."
That 'sentence' made no sense. There is no excuse for that bad of a misspelling, the spell check button is right there.
Anyway, 50 dollars a year is still 50 dollars a year. Just because you think it's a value doesn't mean anything. When my friend bought a 360 at launch he HAD to buy a subscription to play ...
Microsoft said HDMI wasn't necessary, now they have HDMI.
They said that Xbox consumers did not need a harddrive, now they are pushing for DL content for the future.
It costs nearly a hundred dollars to upgrade Wi-fi, more and more homes are using wireless networks (why not?).
Microsoft says it's online service, XBL, is worth the 50 dollars every year, because of the features, yet now Sony is starting to match everything... and for free.

If you want to make game for a living then go out there and find out how. E-mail, write a letter, send smoke signals, anything to people in the industry, go to their websites etc... "walls are put there not to stop you, but to see how much you really want 'it'"
Programming requires a Computer Science Degree of no less than a Bachelors if not Masters. That means Trig, Cal I, Cal II, Cal III, statistics, and programming courses. Programming is not really creating the game. When you 'program' for developers you simply are told what to code and what they need. There is little room for your creative output. Loooong hours of sitting, typing, researching tech books, and heavy mathamatics (without help mind you).
