Lets say you want to take the movie you just bought on Netflix and you want to watch it at a friends house.. what do you do? Take your whole Xbox 360 over? Maybe you don't really like that movie you downloaded and you want to trade it or sell it to a friend on YOUR TERMS... how would that workout?
How about the fact that bandwidth in America is a bad joke. Telecom companies are going to start charging for the AMOUNT a person downloads, instead of a flat rate. How exactly does t...
Give yourself a min to think about what you've just posted. We'll just pretend you didn't just post an argument.. DVD holding like "30min of it" as some sort of rational point. No sh** Sherlock, DVD is a storage medium. You can't put an true 1080p MOVIE on a DVD. I didn't say you couldn't put an HD youtube clip on it. You can also suggest attempting to kill a bear with a knife, but with a gun available, you'd be stupid for even suggesting it.
Edit: Actually you are th...
But if the movie was that good you wanted to buy it then why not buy the best, or maybe you need to be more picky about what you consider a worthy purchase.
He is basicly rooting for DVD. That's like him rooting for VHS over DVD back in the 90's. DVD can not produce the same quality picture that Bluray can. Period. End of discussion. So unless you bought a HDTV (which btw is the virtually the only thing out there now) to watch a subpar version of a movie like Hellboy 2, well then you are a fool. Fact is, soon enough everyones SDTV is going to break or look out-dated... when that time comes do you want to own a low-res piss poor excuse of a favori...
He understands and if he doesn't then I just feel sorry for those who depend on him for anything. It clearly says that Bluray's adoption rate two years into its existance is greater than DVDs adoption rate two years into ITS existance. I doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out, so it either he is not too bright or just didn't read the article and just wanted to put down Bluray in his own craptacular way.
you just can't be that.... *shakes head*
Do you honestly think Peter Jackson has anything to LOTR coming to Bluray? Let me just set you strait, Peter Jackson has absolutely NOTHING to do with LOTR appearing on the Bluray format. Do you even know what you are talking about? He is too busy "working" to release LOTR on Bluray? WTF are you talking about, what is he suppose to do? I can't imagine what could cause you to utter such a ridiculous thing. So I am suspicious of ...
...... that is all.
Microsoft wants to control the price and distrobution profits. Right neither Microsoft or Sony have any real control of the distrobution of their software. Anyone can buy and sell the video games and movies however they see fit, and that pisses off Micosoft.
Microsoft wants to lock down their content onto a medium they can control. MS can by-pass retail and consume a larger share of the profits and control the amount it costs. Also, it is easier to pirate 360 games and therefo...
LBP's sales are holding steady and selling well past the launch date (even despite the hick-up). You know damn well you are just twisting the truth. Look at your 2 pathetic bubbles, must reflect your personal life too. Just a miserable little nobody.
You'll be paying 50 dollars every year for the rest of your life- money you could have used to buy a game. In just 2 years you've already spent 100 dollars. Not only that, XBL does not provide dedicated servers. I see, so you are paying for what, a match making service? What's the matter don't have any real world friends to call up and play COD4?
While you're busy going door to door justify your purchase by convincing others you're not in denial, don't forget you'll also need t...
now its official. I didn't even know about this 'Hulu' thing till the official announcement. I think Microsoft needs to 'get their own' as it were.
Did you hear all the gloom and doom the video game media was announcing? Tisk, tisk... you are just basing your "success" on what some call "reality" or "facts", thats the problem with all of you logical thinkers.. too much thinking not enough heart.
Look at Gears of War 2, a good game, but sales have falled dramaticly since its launch date. That's because everyone who was going to buy it already had, there really isn't much room for the sales to go. Not only that, LBP has endless value thanks to user content and pro-content releases, were as GOW2's multiplayer has fallen down the charts.
Just awesome! I thought it was only a costume pack, its a whole freaking theme w/ paintball guns!!! This game shall continue to sell and do well for months to come!!!
Geeezzz Microsoft, don't rush, you might hurt yourself!
See, this is what happens when a monopoly suddenly gets competition and is unable to stomp it out any longer. They are forced to address issues they have long ignored. Thanks to rising (free) software like Chrome and firefox, Microsoft has not choice but to fix problems they were able to ignore for years.
they don't rush an unfinished, improperly tested product to market just to beat the competition. To set the record strait, the only reason the 360 has matched the PS3's power is because they crammed together 3 processors without dealing with the heat issue instead of investing time and money on a reliable efficient chipset and then used cheap parts to off-set costs.
This is the exact same reason people have lost confidence in American products, if you can even call chineese mad...
Ok, I've seen this one before.. Microsoft is experiencing the crappy hardware grieving process.
Right now were are in step one: denial (only small number effected etc), then step two: anger (blaming consumers ie bumping consoles), next step three: bargaining (extended warranty) and finally step four: acceptance (quietly and 1up.com buries issue beneath xbox news)
What you just discribed is what 100% of ALL internet based social networks are basicly about. So your argument is really against the broad existance of social networks like; AOL, MSN/Yahoo Messanger, XBL, and so on. Do you know what the difference is? The ability to take that same networking interaction and place a moving interactive avatar. I think you and others are simply making a case against Home that is not there, it was never ment to be a video game and you know it. If its boring then ...
You don't have to move the 360 for the disc to scratch, when the disc-drive spins too fast the disc can be dislodged and scratch. A friend and I were playing Gears of War when suddenly the 360 started making a loud buzzing sound and eventually you could here grinding. He took out the disc and there was a deep as f**k circular gauge (not scratch) on the disc. Moving the 360 only GUARANTEES a scratched disc, but it can still happen without doing so.
Update: (
It was just average in a sea of average games this year. Anyone remember, Timeshift, Fracture, Frontlines: Fuel of War, Turok, and this list goes on. Free Radical was never known for blockbuster AAA titles, not even Timesplitters saw amazing sales.
