I don't think they have much of a choice but to rethink their strategy of buying out the competition just to release sequels (ie Mercenaries). Don't think of these free track give away as a humanitarian move, but a 'hope they buy this now' move. Anyway, free stuff = everyone wins.

I can only imagine it will get better over time. Hell, Killzone 2 actually, at times, seems to surpass the original '05 CGI trailer. Given time, this game can really kick some serious ass. The comparisons to Gears of War are not unfounded, but hey if it works then why not? It will be interesting to see a mixture of Gears of War and Devil May Cry. The actual in-game visuals look better than the 2005 CG trailer! You can see much better light modeling, AA, and bump-mapping. Just look at the gun in first screenshot comparison. Also, from the most recent footage I have seen the GG developer is adding more color too. This game is going to set a new standard for graphics on current gen consoles!

I mean this article is on an official Xbox mouthpiece. BOTH the PS3 and 360 have 512 MB of ram. The only difference between the two is that the PS3 divides up the memory between the GPU/CPU. Even so, the divided memory issue has been address, because you can bridge the extra memory if needed, something that those Sony engineers know and seemingly Volition is too incapable to research.

Artificial Intelligence for bots in games are given specific purposes for the map or environment they are put in. For example in Killzone Helgasts jump over obstacles, something that the dev sough necessary to include that may not serve the same purpose in a game like Halo.
