It's weird, I hate closed course racing games, I'm more into Dirt and Forza Horizon...but there's so much cool stuff about this game I admit I'm actually getting interested.
Part of the reason I'm moving away from COD is because of all the "future" warfare stuff...it almost always leads just more ways that people can play like douchbags. I'd prefer they just keep in based in actual current times, or take it back to WWII...just my opinion.
So far EVERYTHING about this game makes it look it's a must buy. There isn't a SINGLE bad thing about this game so far. It's shaping up to be the best Halo ever. Based on the BETA it has the best MP (finally topping Halo 2), and Halo 4 had the best campaign and this looks to be getting better on top of that.
I can't wait....this game seems close to perfect.
This game, Ion, and Elite Dangerous are partly responsible for why I have almost no interest in NMS anymore. I was super excited for that game at first, but these games seems to do more what I was hoping NMS would do.
I liked Ico and Shadow a lot, but these kinds of games don't have mass appeal really...they are more for a niche audience...of which I am one. However, I don't doubt that TLG will sell more than the other two..marketing is much better now, and more and more people spend a ton of time on the internet, so more people now will know about it.
Owning all the consoles and a PC like I have every gen... I can say easily that I like owning them all. However, just as easily, I can also so that it's clear to me the the X1 is the best rounded console IMO. PS4 is a good console and it's more powerful, but as of yet that has made little to no tangible difference (i.e. Batman is 900 on X1 1080 on PS4...but in a blind test no one would know which is which...so I went with the X1 version cause I prefer the controller, like the UI/Fea...

Has anyone stopped to ask why after previews of this game and after it being released for almost a full week now...that all the sudden one person/a tiny group of people are having issues....and suddenly that means the X1 version is broken? Seriously this is ridiculous, I bet the issue rate on this game is the exact same on PS4 and X1. I haven't had a single issue at all and I'm playing the hell out of this game.

What? It's not broken at all. I'm at 50% (running through all the Riddles right now) I haven't seen a single issue at all...it's been flawless and smooth. It appears that this site I have never heard of should update their Xbox or something. One person having issues doesn't mean the game is broken
This game is a amazing, and is EASILY GOTY so far.
I'm personally not a huge racing guy, I'm not into closed course racers...I loved FH2 though. I'd be down for MS to do a Forza Rally...kinda like a Dirt game, but without all the new stuff the last one added....just straight point A to point B dirt races and hill climbs (maybe with some dirbike races as well). However, Phil didn't seem to think there was much chance of another Forza franchise happening.

I think MS is smart enough to know they won't do well in Japan...hell, console gaming in general is dead in Japan...but I think MS putting X1 in Japan is more a hand out to Japanese Devs, to try and help persuade Japanese Devs to make games for X1...so I get it...but I'm also conviced MS doesn't have ANY expectation to "win" in Japan.
So then RotTR will stay exclusive? It's practically the exact same deal. It would have been easy here for them to say that it will stay exclusive to PS4/Pc if that was the case...if anything, it seems even more likely that it means it's NOT console exclusive.
It MIGHT stay PS4 exclusive for consoles...but providing "support" isn't strong language.
The game looks sweet, and it's still over a year away...I wonder if the Horizon demo left the author unconvinced for the exact same reasons...
