Even more crazy that COD sold more on X1 than on PS4
Halo 5 Being #8 is DAMN impressive, esp being that it's a console exclusive and came out over a month ago..... Does anyone else see any month old console exclusives on that list AT ALL???
As far as COD, it's also further impressive that this is just physical copies, and X1 is usually known to sell more digital copies than PS4...except in rare cases, and the COD Console bundle sold embarrassingly low...
...judging by stats on Number of hours played on each console...X1 gamers are playing games...not N4G boards.
First of all great news for both consoles. Does anyone have any accurate numbers yet? Or is it still just the estimates? Its especially impressive the X1 sold as much as it did (is as rumored to have done) considering the PS4 was $50 less all month.
The only thing is that is frustrating about articles like this is the crowd it attracts. OF COURSE you can have a favorite console, and OF COURSE you don't HAVE to buy an X1,but if you just simply prefer one over the other,...
Except you're wrong. That isn't what he said, and you're taking that comment out of context (see Len's comment). You clearly only read a headline and/or heard only what you want to hear...and now you're spreading something around that isn't quite true.
Either way, I'm excited about possibilities it may help provide improvements for...whatever they are. Even if it isn't specifically Res/FPS. Its actually much more likely Phil would downplay it ...
They still are, but word is that it's a HoloLens game...not sure if that is true or not.
It saw an increase in sales due to a price cut
Good but over-rated
Amazing game, should have been in GOTY conversations. Being that the game sales for this game were already on the rise before the price cut...it sounds more like it was just due to time...and the hype of Fallout 4, COD, and Halo 5 starting to fade...price cuts don't hurt, but I'm just not sure why this site is putting the negative spin on this saying "it took a price cut to sell" ...does every other game that sees increased sales after a price cut get an article like this? ...
That would be F'n Awesome
Me neither, I made sure to get the Kinect on my second X1 too.
There's tons of great games for X1. I kept my Zelda Wii U, but I am the exact opposite as far as MP/Multiplats vs exclusives. I only use my PS4 for exclusives at this point. X1 is FAR better for online (too bad COD made the 3rd party deal with PS this time, for the simple reason that BO3 is my favorite COD to date...imagine how great it'd be on Azure servers instead of the crap Activision ones).
Honestly, I'm not a big fan episode stlye games, but more than that what gets me is the change in play style. I which they just kept the combat the same with updated visuals.
Nah, I get it, if you looked at my other comment you would have seen that I understood more things could happen...so far they haven't, but usually there are some bombs during the Keynotes...that's why they are the highlight of the events. Don't be so quick to jump the gun.
Sorry. PSX sucked this year...but it's not the end of the world. It's just concerning because it does start to make the idea of Sony becoming complacent with the top console sales spo...
It's kinda weird that PSX came and went....but nothing exciting happened. It was almost like, why waste the time and money to put on an event that could have been handled with an interview instead?
So Paragon might not be for me exactly, but it does look nice and I'm sure a ton of gamers will like it, but at the same time I get why some people are upset that they ended the show this way. There were really no "wow" moments or 1st party games to get excited about....and if you're gonna have a show called "PlayStation Experience" you expect to be wowed by great PS 1st party games. Unless they have some surprise announcements coming, that didn't happen at a...
...and it was a launch title. So when it was first in development Crytek didn't even know what the final hardware would be. It's why I'm excited for their VR game
Agreed
Yet is the best looking one on console ...the fact that you think the Ryse gameplay is pre-rendered says everything
UC4 is by no means a bad looking game, but that jump from Star Citizen to UC4 is a bit jarring...so is the Order to Ryse...but I think that's more because Ryse is bright and Shiny where as Order is dark and smoky
So then RotTR is open world too?
Rather surprising that despite being $50 less all month, PS4 only outsold X1 by less than 200k (closer to 120K according to current estimates)...you'd think it'd be more. Even more surprising is that COD sold better on X1...even without counting digital sells (which usually tend to be better on X1)..and the COD Bundle sold horribly.
